One of the hidden gems of this place is the ability to rent your own island for the night. Grab a canoe and paddle out to your own private slice of paradise! An amazing experience but know that it is definitely primitive camping. You get a fire ring and thats it. Be sure to book in advance as you have to bring your printed reservation with you and it cant be done at the visitors center. But what a fantastic and unusual opportunity!

Beautiful beach! Bugs can always be an issue in the mornings in Florida so sitting down close to the sea water I find helps with that. Once the sun heats up It is not as bad. Visit the website or call for information about tours and events going on. Not long ago there was a native plant and bird kayak tour on the river side. Very beautiful and the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable!

Great natural beach. Few visitors. Sea turtle nests everywhere. Went on both a junior ranger program and a turtle program. As a former park ranger i love it. Its a $10 admission fee but you csn buy a park pass if you go frequently. They have many public programs and it welll worth a visit.

South Beach is Amazing. Luscious soft sand. A different color than the rest of the Beach in Nsb. Worry stones & amazing full Seashells are everywhere if youre into collecting them. Good fishing it seems. Big waves. Lots of parking. Single day entry $10 with a yearly pass available as well.

Great visitor center with nice theater for the welcome video (10 minutes). Rangers were knowledgeable and helpful. Only downside is the amount of mosquitos in the summer. Bring lots of repellent, they bit me through my jeans.

Drove to the end of the road, was pleasantly surprised to find this amazing place. Beaches are not packed with people and price was better than other beach parking. Visor center was nice and got to see a manatee in the water.

Beautiful pristine beach. Traditionally a nude beach as well. So skip the suits and head to the last parking lot, cross over to the beach, and walk a little further down. There is not a sign anymore, but thats the spot.

Wow the mosquitos are no joke!! At parking 8 came back to the car quickly and still had 15 mosquitoes join us in the car. Its beautiful but WOW. We didnt even make it out of the parking lot to walk the trail at stop 3.

$ to enter. If you have family just use the first couple of beach areas. Turtle breeding grounds may be worth if you visit them at the right season. We visited early Jan, neither saw people or turtle, it was so empty.

BEWARE: ended up with horrible case of noseeums bites. The beach is beautiful but not worth the itchiness and welts!
