My family enjoys this park. It tends to be windy at times and may be a good place for kite flying. There is an open field that my son loves to run around in & plenty of side walk space in front of the park for bike riding, scooters and chalk play etc. The structure and swings are very nice. It is not a great structure so much for much younger though as the majority involves rope climbing. Fake grass is used here. There is a shaded pavilion with picnic tables and there are benches surrounding the park. The bathroom and drinking fountains are right under the shaded pavillion beside the park. The bathrooms are very clean. Plenty of waste bins and the park is kept very clean overall and safe. Nice park for parents to sit and relax, watching kid play safely. Far distance from the parking lot and open view of structure/field space. We also like to walk around the nice pond with fountains that they have here, it is a short and enjoyable walk. We see gators, turtles and lots of various birds. There are 2 pavilions next to the pond with grills that seem to have a lot of birthday parties held there. There are two sanded volley ball nets. There is a dog park, but dogs are not allowed anywhere else but the fenced in park for them. I believe there are tennis and basketball hoops but never went over. The rec center and middle school are right here. There is always plenty of parking. The scenery is just very nice. It is one of my 4 year olds favorite parks locally. The one suggestion I have is to add shade to the structure/swings as all FL parks should have in my opinion. The shade is lacking here and it can be intense with FL heat.

Very nice dog park except that there are are a lot of dog do dos not picked up buy there owners. There are do do bags provided, so there is no excuse for not picking up there dogs poos. I have been ther several times with my dog. This morning i went and there was 2 aggressive dogs there and one dog went after a little black dog and the owner was very slow in helping to get her dog of off the little black dog. And evern after being told her dog was very aggressive she let the dog lose to continue to be aggressive. Another dog continuled to be aggressive and in my dogs face and that same lady said not to hit the dog that it was just licking my dogs face. I dont think licking and bitting are the same thing. We left. People that bring there dogs to a unleashed dog park should be supervising there dogs and there dogs behavior.

Visited this park several times in March and April 2016 and enjoyed it. Then, On my last visit my Westie was attacked by a 9 month old pit-mix name Callie (blk and wht) the owner did little about it. The pit would not let go of my dogs head after what seemed like 20 mins, probably more like 5 mins. My husband was able to pry the dogs mouth off of our dogs head. It was after 6 pm so off the the emerg. vet we went, 3 hrs and $300 later we left the vet with a lot of puncture wounds to the head and neck but none fatal. The owner was verbally chased off by others in the park that said this was not his dogs 1st offence. We receive not apology from the owner, his only comment during the attack was, "that just what dogs do". I dont bash breeds and believe there are not bad dogs, just bad owners.

My kids and I LOVE this park! Its really for kids who are about 2 years old and up. Lots of climbing things and a lot of space to run and play soccer or football. There is not a separate play area for small children. It can get a little crowded. All the playground equipment has fake grass beneath it which helps to cushion any falls. No mulch. Theres a lovely pond with a nice walking path. There are some gator sightings, so be careful! Wear lots of sunscreen theres next to NO shade. the bathrooms are nice and usually clean. We dont have a dog, but theres a dog park too. Theres also access to basketball courts and tennis courts, but we dont use those yet.

Great park. The key feature here is that its dog friendly. This tends to lead to the idea that it may be a little on the dirty side but it isnt. Its impeccably clean. My family goes to Lake Regional usually. We eat at the gazebo and take our kiddo on the play set but sometimes we have family over and they have a dog (sweet guy!) and so we head here instead. Love it.

This park has two big fenced dog parks one for big dogs one for little dogs great place to throw a frisbee. Also free parking.. there is also a recreation center here with lots of indoor activities many seniors seem to like it

We were so happy to discover Wa-ke Hatchee Park. Our dog loved it! There was shade under the chairs and a water fountain. The dog park is tucked away in the back. There is plenty of parking. Had a very enjoyable time.

This park has a playground, picnic area, basketball court, tennis courts, field to play football, volleyball net, and for those who have dogs and doggy park.

This was a terrible dog park. There isnt much shade, theres flies everywhere, and its small. The other places in the park were way better then the dog park.
