This is my second visit to Thai Sushi. Obviously returning for a second time means it must have been okay. In fact I have even suggested to several friends after my first visit. For lake county it was acceptable but not great! Wow! Night and day difference, tell tale signs business is bad..... My second and certainly last visit was this past Monday. The worst, I repeat worst attempt of sushi making I have ever eaten. The so called sushi chef made several references that he was new. So new in fact I ordered squid and he gave me octopus. Now we all know that octopus is in the squid family, but at a sushi restaurant two worlds apart. Just because he cooked at a sonnys barbecue or something, does not make him a sushi chef! Prices are not even close to matching the grocery store style sushi. $30 later I now need to go back to all my friends and apologize if they have eaten here. Just proves, leave the specialty places to the races that have perfected it. Like I would not go to a Mexican food joint and expect to find Chinese folks making it. Stay away.....I would be amazed if this place makes it another 12 months. Sorry Jason, really nice guy, but I feel ripped off. Dont be stingy on the cuts of the roll, and by all the grace, the chef on Monday, please send him packing. He has no right behind the counter, and the host, he needs to dress a little more like he is getting paid to bed there! Sloppy! Kris K.

I found this place on Google looking for thai closer to home. I was glad to see this so decided to give it a try. I brought my husband too. We arrive around 2:00 on a Saturday noone is in the parking lot. Not a good sign but we venture in. The server greets us and is very friendly. She smiles a lot , huge bonus for me.. first impressions right?. The website showed a lunch menu but she only brings dinner. No problem I dont say a word. We order 2 entrees and decide to order an appitizer since the dinners do not come with anything else. The appitizer is good and entrees are as well. It was about a 7 on a 1-10 ( 10 best )scale. We would go back because of the server, she was the only person we ever saw during our meal . The inside decor needs an overhaul but we are there more for the quality of the food .

Everyone from the chef (Jason) to the busboys are amazing. The food is scrumptious and so tasty we even had my 5 year old little girl eating frog legs (renamed "skinny chicken")! They make every meal fun and even brought the "BIG lobster" over to the table for a closeup encounter! The tropical fish tanks are great for keeping my two youngsters entertained while food is prepared and the kids beg to go visit and eat at "Mr. Jasons"! From the moment we walk in, to the moment we leave, we are treated like family and you can tell by the many familiar faces that we arent the exception. Take the time to browse the varied menu and dont be afraid to order something random... Its all Delish!! Enjoy!

I would love to give a 5 star review. Unfortunately the food was just not that good. And in a restaurant, thats what it ultimately comes down to. The service was very good. I would rate them lower than 4 stars for the food. The clamari, I just couldnt eat them. Go to Thay Jasmine in Tavares, and they are the bomb. The sushi was alright. My wifes curry had a very good flavor, but super hot. I give 4 stars for the service and the fact that they had gluten free soy sauce. For all you gluten free people out there.

Great sushi and they customize dishes with a smile. We had Philadelphia roll and eel rolls. Great garlic sauce, a must on pork and vegtables, nice and savory. Sake was perfectly warmed and fragrant. We have been coming here for 3 years and it just gets better.

I used to eat here often until they came under new ownership last year. Since then the food doesnt taste as good. I order the same thing each time and they taste completely different- not to mention the actual raw fish was frozen.

Love the place. The prices are great, food is top-notch, and the people are very welcoming. Its easy to drive past and the inside is a little... odd... but do yourself a favor and get on over there. Its the best.
