From the looks of it, its been around for quite some time. Probably a long while, since the 80s, maybe as late as the 60s, cant entirely tell. But, coming around for quiet walks or driving through, its a calm and sound experience every time in this location. Well, actually some days there are maintainence crews about doing park tending. Other than that, gotta enjoy the fact theres more than just a small play ground for young children and wooden gazebos. Theres literally a mini-forest on the other side with wooded-plank walk ways, plus areas for campers, and scattered around the main park are useful exercise apparatuses. Definitely a go-to spot to breathe in some fresh air. And, also worth mentioning, a little creek that flows into the lake. A superb atmosphere during the spring or any season and time in a sunny, breezy day.

Its a great park when your teacher doesnt try to scare you to death on the board walk by telling he is a murderer! The lake is really great for swimming and the dock is good for jumping off. The campsites in the 20s are really good for playing tag around. *******HINT==== if you want to fish on the dock, then feed the fish marshmallows! they really like it! they are also cannibals! The fish by the dock eat minnows too when you put minnows on the hook!!!**********************

Great park. Spectacular view of the lake from a little white sand beach or the extended deck. Loved the wooded trails, especially the marsh bridge. My kids loved the playground area and the beach front as they really enjoyed stepping into the water. 4 stars and not 5 because some of the facilities could be better maintained, but most facilities looked and functioned just fine. Over all a great park for a family outing.

It is a nice place for kids, families, or just yourself. Has plenty of pavilions and a little beach. Every time I go I try to pick up all the fishing hooks that have washed ashore. There can be an abunace of trash in the lakes at times. But other than that, it is a great place for parties and picnics. Has a beautiful trail that is wonderful for nature hikes. Also has an adjacent camping sites.

Beautiful place with good infrastructure to throw a barbecue. Bring your family and friends, theres fun for everyone. The water in the lake is warm and the sand is soft. I recommend having a barbecue a bit away from the lake shores and it gets pretty windy there. Theres also a park with slides, etc for the little kids.

The Park staff is very reliable. We asked for their gate to be unlocked earlier than advertised and it was. Our bicycle club, Florida Freewheelers, was able to assemble and move out on our planned time of 0800. The pavilion we rented was clean and in a very pleasant location for our after the ride picnic.

Nice park. It has a little sand beach, boat launch for small kayaks or canoes, sand volleyball court, playground and a handful of pavilions. The playgrounds dont have any shade so the plastic gets hot for kids. There are also a handful of camp sites that I think you have to reserve in advance.

The best aspect of this park is the amount of great shade and the perpetual cool breeze coming off the lake. It is like the perfect air conditioning on the hottest of Florida summer days. The park also has a wonderful sandy swimming area, fishing pier, kayak launch, boardwalk, and camping!

I love this park. Its has beautiful trees to help block the sun. The lake breeze is nice. They have TONS of picnic tables and bbq pits. There is even trails to go walking on all over. The grounds keepers do a great job of picking up. Its park to be proud of.

Nice park, small with lake access. Small camping area with fire pits, sites are a bit close together. Restroom in camping area needs to be enlarged with more than 1 shower stall with better privacy.

Beautiful park with nice covered pavilions, playground, "beach" by the lake, and and very nice boardwalk. Ive camped there a couple nights as well, and I had a wonderful experience.

Great spot for a cookout. Nicer lake for kayaking or just skiing, although the park didnt have a boat ramp (only a kayak/canoe launch).
