I went to see Lisa Lampanelli and had seats in row A of the balcony. You could hardly understand her while she spoke, let alone if the audience laughed. I can only assume the sound is better down on the floor. The only way most of the people in the balcony heard what she said was when one or two people understood her and and told other what she said. If you have a fear of heights it is kind of scarey walking down the aisle to your seats. If you cant get floor seats dont bother going.

A terrific venue in Downtown New Haven for off-Broadway and touring shows. We saw a wonderful production of Rogers and Hammersteins Cinderella. The theater is intimate yet spacious enough for large productions. The three balconies allow for a large audience when needed. Warning that the 3 or 4 left and right orchestra seats appear to be restricted in view. Get center seats for the best views.

Horrible theater to go to. From the balcony seating you cannot see the very front 1/4 of the stage... And then the seating is poorly designed, the persons seated one row in front blocked the view with their heads. The cast and play were very good, at least what I saw of it. I did notice some mistakes the cast made in saying their lines in rent. Wouldnt go again to this theater.

Excellent theater sort of tucked away in New Haven. Im very familiar with New Haven and didnt know this little gem was even here. It is 3/4 floors but it is a little on the smaller side as far as theatres go. Went to see Pirates of Panzence and it was great.

Went to go see Elf, which was not quite as good as the movie, but enough to get you into the Christmas spirit. But the theater itself was a little lacking. It was pretty small and odd placements on stage obstructed the view at times.

Beautiful theater right in the heart of New Haven. Parking garage right next door, easily accessible theater, and great seats all around. Not a bad seat in the building.

Disappointed in the lack of accessible seating. Our view was terrible and we will likely not return. I understand it is an old venue.

Very good acoustics considering I was seated in the top section. Ticket agent did not warn us of the partial sightline to the stage.

Great historic place to see plays in New Haven. Launched hundreds of Broadway classics! Sit on main floor for best viewing.

Great performance for such a small city. The place itself is rather small and seating spaced out over great height.

We just saw Dirty Dancing and it was absolutely fabulous. Just as good if not better than Broadway in Manhattan.
