The Colorado State Fair is a great one and a great location. It has trees, flowers, fountains. The Fine Arts displays are wonderful. The 4H exhibits are numerous and interesting. The Creative Arts Building includes excellent projects, and you can watch a cooking demonstration and get samples. Lots of farm animals to see and they are well cared for. Good concert lineups, in several venues. Lots of typical "fair food" and THE best ice cream at the Dairy Building. A 2 story commercial building with lots of stuff to buy. A large carnival. They have other events during the year and rent it out for festivals, benefits, etc. Lots to do around Pueblo and this is always a big draw.

The worst state fair weve been to (weve been to 4). It felt more like a county fair, not a state fair. The parking seemed to be non-existent. Residents were outside of their homes and tried to charge $10 for parking. Outrageous. We parked on the street for free with no problems and it was maybe a 2 block walk. I read online that there was supposed to be $7 parking for the fair, but we couldnt find it. Most of the cool things inside the fair cost additional money. It seemed like this fair consisted mainly of food stands. We did catch the seal show for free, which was entertaining. The best part was the petting zoo for our daughter. Overall, not worth the 2 hour drive we took to attend.

The state fair brings back lots of memories of my childhood. The fair grounds havent changed since then and could really use a revamp. For one, they dont allow outside food and drinks, but they dont have many drinking fountains or much access to water. Thats so important in the middle of summer in our arid climate. The marching band competition is always fun, but not held in a space large enough for a crowd of for the band to even fit on stage! No wonder the urban crowd doesnt go down to Pueblo for the fair, its not worth their time or money to make the trip. Sad, because the kids and adults competing have some great projects and livestock that are worth seeing.

Although I love to go to the state fair, its really not all that amazing, its all Pueblo has. The fair is hot, smells bad, everything is way too expensive, some rides break and arent running half the time. Lets be honest, at night, the fair gets filled with rowdy cowboys and gangsters. Yeah the fair sounds pretty crappy but truthfully it is a very fun place to go in this small town.

The state fair is a great time. Its the usual fair environment with a large focus on food. Make sure to check out the art exhibitions, hall of agriculture, Colorado building, and state fair museum. The vendors are mostly gimmicky things and hot tubs. During the week loaf and jug sells $5 tickets.

It would be great if there is a way that you can change the height of the bumper cars and tiltawirle. My son who was literally a centimeter to small could not ride either one. And Change guest relations they dont help but to tell you sorry. Over all bad experience.

This is not just for the State Fair. The grounds are also available as a Shelter for people with large animals during Emergency Evacuations. Use Horse gate or Beulah Entrance to get to the Shelter. Event Center is where the Shelter is.

The rides are unsafe some people who handle the rides dont even speak English and the rides are rusty and disgusting and the place smelled like horse poop its expensive and the people who sold food were rude and ripped off the poeple

Fun clean fair. Parking is very weird if you are not familiar. Residents that live in the area stand outside their homes with signs saying parking trying to rent you a spot. Turns out its pretty cool but some places looked shady lol

The state fair grounds has so much to offer. The area is well taken care of and very big. I been here now for the fair and my daughters graduation.... Yes! Great for many different events. I recommend this place

State fair is in a great spot. Where else can you meet the most amazing kids and see the hard work they put into their projects. Plus see gorgeous animals, bands, talents eat. Great job kids

Went to the rodeo and Brian Howe. Rodeo was awesome. This is a small fair but it packs a punch. Lots to see and do. We try to go every year.

They charge way to for food and games. Now at the fair it cost 5.00 a game, and you get a very small prize.
