This is a story about one of those dining experiences that normally comes in your dreams after too much wine. My wife and I were guests of a club member who admittedly hadnt dinned at the country club in quite a while. Hed had heard from a friend that dispite a major remodel, new menu and staff, the food in Whitakers wasnt up to expectations. Our host mentioned the concerns to the food and beverage manager as we entered which turned out to be a really bad idea. After being seated in the nearly empty dinning room, we were met with a parade of staff checking on us. It would have been nice if as much effort had been expended in serving the meal. Its never easy providing a critique in person and certainly not something that lends itself to a relaxing dinner. In general, the food was inedible. The bright spots were the salad wedge and a red meat entre. The lows included inedible trout cake appetizer, 3 scallop main dishes that were served much less than hot and the cherry mouse desert that was a hard frozen mound of pink. I felt fortunate the trout cake appitizer was served to the wrong diner as it was overcooked, dry and tasted like mud. Much more attention was put on the foods appearance than its flavor or proper serving. That being said, it was apparent everyone from the server to the chef really wanted our dining experience to be great. In my opinion, their over attention highlighted a frustration that didnt start with our party. One has to look at management for failing to create an enabling environment . Perhaps those doing the hiring should step back and allow someone with industry knowledge to build the team. At a minimum, someone should be tasting the food...

We recently had our Rocky Mountain High School Boys Tennis Banquet at the club. It was the second time to have our event at the club. The first banquet was wonderful and the second banquet EVEN better! The beautiful clubhouse and surroundings create an opportunity for families to experience the club. Something they might not have the opportunity to do otherwise. A huge thank you to MIKE and the 3 gentleman (servers) that took care of the coaches, players and their families. They were professional in every manner. They worked efficiently providing cocktails in a timely manner, as well as were subtle while the team was being honored. We highly recommend the Country Club for any type of event you might be considering. Again...thanks much FCCC! The Malloy Family

We recently used the country club for our wedding and they were absolutely amazing! I had planned on having to do a lot of set up myself, but Alex and her crew took care of everything to perfection! All of the guests had a wonderful time and Alex made sure even the special food needs were taken care of with their own meal. I highly recommend them!

The Fort Collins Country Club is by far my favorite club in Northern Colorado. I have hosted many events there, assisted with golf tournaments and enjoyed many meals from their incredible chef! Their staff is always very nice, the facilities are in great condition. The FC Country Club definitely provides everything you want in a country club!

Had my first golf lesson for the upcoming season yesterday. The teaching staff is amazing at the Fort Collins Country Club. Three pros on staff to answer any question or quickly fix any issue. Sand is not going to be an issue this year! Thank you Ryan!

Staff more interested in their cell phones than serving customers. Or just plain impossible to find. Also "Greg Gadwa" is listed as the Executive Chef on the clubs site, so theyre writing dummy reviews on here to boost their ranking on searches.
