Went here for the first time last week to watch Dracula the play with my wife for date night. Inside and outside of the Fox are like night and day. Inside is nice and cozy, they offer a limited bar with drinks and snacks, and it wasnt too hot or too cold inside, even as people started filling the seats. Being a bigger guy, the seats were a little small for me, and the chairs share armrests with the seats next to them. Since I am a nice guy I pretty my wife have the armrest to my left and the older woman on my right have that armrest, so I sat all night with my hands in my lap. People inside were nice and friendly. Outside was a completely different story. When myself and about a dozen others went out to smoke during intermission, a group of people walked by, obviously drunk or high, and started harassing people. There was a security guard standing right there that did nothing, he thought it was funny. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is interested in live musicals, my only advice is to get in and out, dont hang out outside unless you want a drunk guy hitting on your girlfriend.. I recommend the Fox Theater, but not the area it is located in.

This theatre is exactly what you would expect going to a small community theatre in Aurora. As long as you accept it for what it is, you wont be disappointed. The amenities here are somewhat lacking. The chairs in the theatre itself are oddly small. There are no cup holders either. The lobby got pretty packed before they let everyone into theatre. The drink prices were much more reasonable than any of the downtown theatres though ($4 for a basic wine or beer versus the $6+ downtown), We saw American Idiot here and really enjoyed the show itself. They did start it about 5-10 minutes late, which I guess is normal for this theatre. We werent in a rush to start watching it right at 7:30 so it didnt really bother us. One thing that I thought was a nice touch: we got an email the day of the show from Ignite Theatre, thanking us for choosing them, telling us when we could arrive, and letting us know where to park. It even included a link to the little parking map on their website, highlighting the best parking locations. Considering the production value and ticket prices, well definitely return.

This is a lovingly maintained old theater in the heart of Aurora. It is a small, intimate venue that hosts wonderful live theatre events throughout the year. Parking is sometimes a challenge, but if you are there on the weekends you can use the city lot next door. Ive seen two musicals here, and both were wonderful. The theatre troupe that is in residence here is talented and puts their own touch to the stories they portray. Their production of "Dracula", around Halloween 2016, was very well produced (the larger gent who played "the American" almost stole the show with his smarmy portrayal, as did the mousey actor playing Van Helsing). Prices for these showings were moderate, "off-Broadway" pricing not out of line for the quality of the productions. Set pieces are imaginative, and they do a lot with the narrowish stage they have in the building. In general, bravo for a big-city theatre experience in a small-town like venue. I await my next trip out East on Colfax for another pleasant night of theatre!

We were long time patrons of the Fox. We ended up becoming season ticket holders and the first few shows were great. Then a mistake by the staff left us unable to see a show we had a reservation/ticket for. Most of the staff were extremely apologetic, but the main woman I ended up speaking to who arranged all of our dates for the season (who actually made the error) was defensive and practically blamed me for the mistake. She offered a free show as the other show was no longer available. What she didnt offer was a genuine apology. She was unable to accept responsibility for her error. We never returned. Sorry, we will stick with DCPA and the Arvada Center at this point. We wanted to support local theatre, but you dont treat us like that and expect a returning patron.

This was my first time visiting this theatre and I went to see The Wiz. The show was pretty good but the theater itself is very dated. From what staff was saying, the theater will probably be closing soon. All-in-all, Id say this would be a good place to take your children for a play.

The production of SpamAlot was wonderful and had me laughing all night long. This is a small venue and there really are no bad seats.

Great performances, great intimate setting! Only complaint is the seats, they are old and uncomfortable.

Always a good show from the various theater companies that call the Fox home.
