The park is well-kept and green. There are lots of activities to engage in. For the kids there is a sizable playground (with the much preferred foam flooring!) and a petting zoo. For the older crowd, theres a single full-sized basketball court and open field for an assortment of activities. There is also plenty of parking to be had on the average weekday. It would have been nice to have a decent sized baseball diamond or another full-sized basketball court, but whatever. The most glaring knock I can make towards the park is that its sitting adjacent to a major intersection, it doesnt make me that comfortable as a parent. In fact, it makes me pretty nervous

Great park for the kids, Lots of fresh lawn area and lots of trees by the sides. Because...nothing worse than your kid running aimlessly into a large tree. Parking is abundant too surrounding the park. If you are desperate for a space, you can park in the houses across the street. Yes theres a kids playground area here too. We came here because City of Whittiers library had their summer reading program (which is mighty awesome I might add) party at this park here. It was crazy packed with kids but never felt cramped like those Disney lines. We know about the Zoo and the movies in the park but have yet to take advantage of it.

This park has changed in recent years. Improvements have been made to the play area. The equipment is updated and surrounded by both padding and sand. A basketball court is available and an open field to play baseball. There is plenty of tables and grills. A zoo and community center are also on the grounds. The zoo is more modern now but lacking. Your further from the animals and limited to what can be seen. Its still not bad for entertaining your children; not to mention it is free!

Girls had a blast playing! Not a beautiful Park, but it is green and they have a small zoo which small children love. Wish you could feed the animals though. On the downside I wish there was more benches around the play area or at least the block fence that goes around to be a little higher so we can sit down theres always a lot of adults standing or trying to sit on the small wall thats too short.

Come by Parnell for Concerts in the Park every Thursday during the summer. Enjoy some Kettle Corn and cover bands as your kids run around screaming. Parking is awful and usually spills into the surrounding neighborhoods. Dont park in front of my house.

We came during operating hours but the zoo was not open... The Childrens play area is nice but it is in the sun, so prepare. The best part on this hot day was the water area where the water squirts up in the air.
