Roseo 2010 is a blend of Grenache and Zinfandel. It has a bright raspberry color, intense fruit flavors of strawberry and watermelon, yet is made in the French Provence style, completely dry, well-structured and balanced with a lingering finish. This is a great sipping wine. Thumbs up, way up! Scosso 2009 is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. It has a ruby color with a bouquet that opens up more and more as you indulge. It drinks well now and has enough tannins to age for years. There is richness on the front end and the viscosity evokes a feeling of heavy creaminess like cream soda without the carbonation. The finish has a touch of blackberries and will last all night. This has a very smooth yet spicy end. This is great for sipping paired with some good cheese. Thumbs up, way up!

Just stopped in to the tasting room here and it was fantastic. My buddy and I got to meet the owners and chat with some of their staff. Dave and Sandy were so knowledgeable about all the wine we tasted. The Scosso was one of the better red wine blends that Ive had in a long time. I am very happy to have stumbled across this winery thats just north of Los Angeles! If anyone is heading toward the Ventura area, make sure to stop in and try one of the better wineries Ive personal had the pleasure of experiencing in a long time. Thanks Four Brix! Ill be back.

Four is for the the four couples that came together for their love of wine. Brix is a unit of measure in the wine making process, making Four Brix Winery an accurate description of the endeavor in this nondescript commercial part of Ventura a real find. Treasured by locals and a fierce fan base, Four Brix offers a strong selection of finely grown wines from grapes sourced in areas of California in the finest tradition of the European regions that inspired them. I prefer the Scosso, inspired by the riderless horse in the Siena horse races.

Looking for a great rose for you end of the summer BBQ? Four Brix is the one! We really enjoyed talking with Karen and the atmosphere but the wines are definitely going to put Ventura County on the map as a destination for great wine.

Fantastic wine tasting near LA. Quicker than a drive to Napa and the wine was even better. Sandy and Dave were wonderful hosts for our wine tasting in Ventura this weekend.

Beautiful little winery that creates some truly amazing bottles. Each and every one pairs perfectly with food.
