This is a great neighborhood to live in and The Santa Rosa Golf and County Club is a fantastic country club facility. The 6,712 yard golf course is fairly level, challenging and well designed. The club was established in 1916 near St. Francis road on the east side of Santa Rosa and relocated here on the 128 acre site in 1957. The clubhouse itself was built new from the ground up in 2001. You do not need to belong to the “Club” to live in the neighborhood, in fact only approximately 20% of the current homeowners do. The neighborhood is bordered by Willowside road on the west side. It was developed as “Willowside Estates” in the early 1960s. The homes are mostly of the single level, “Ranch” style on one third to half acre lots. Many have been renovated and updated over the years but occasionally you will find one that is “untouched”. The public elementary and middle schools are part of the highly regarded “Oak Grove” school district. An alternative is the Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm a quarter mile north on Willowside Road.

Family has been members here for a few generations. I only visit california once every year or two but I always go here while Im there and Ive seen it grow and change over the years. I really like what theyve done and my most recent visit I met the new manager who couldnt have been more friendly and enthusiastic about the Club

We had our wedding here and it was perfect. The coordinator Tess could not have been better. She was so flexible and accommodating and our evening was wonderful. Food was fantastic, and the space is beautiful.
