I am part of a nonprofit organization and we held our Mothers Day Luncheon in the Ella Ballroom. Everything from the venue tour to the actual event went flawlessly. To begin the process, Robert and I e-mailed back a forth a few times, just so I can have an idea of what exactly we could have for the budget we had for the event. He sent me the proposal and I quickly realized that theres no other place where we could get as much as we were getting for the money we were paying...and Ive done A LOT of research. A few of the ladies in the committee and I went for a site tour and immediately fell in love with the elegance, ambiance, and class of the space. We liked that we were able to totally customize the space with our linen colors (napkins and table cloths) and even the LED ambient lighting color! After booking the venue for our event, I bugged Robert several times with silly questions and he was always quick to get back to me. He was very accommodating to our requests and last minute changes. Fastforward to the day of the event...... When we walked in to start setting up nearly an hour before our event, the venue already looked so beautiful with the linens and the lighting. The event managers were super helpful in assisting with our set up and answering all our questions. FOOD: We chose two passed hors doeuvres to be served during our cocktail hour and we could not stop eating them. They were truly exceptional. We had chicken satay with a sesame peanut sauce (yum!) and wild mushroom roulades with oven-dried tomato aioli (DROOOOL!). Our plated lunch consisted of a refreshing mixed green salad with a raspberry vinaigrette. The dressing was sooooo yummy and I liked that they didnt dress the salad before they brought it out. Everything was crisp and fresh. Our second course was a duet of chicken breast with a wild mushroom champagne cream sauce (THE SAUCE!!) and grilled salmon with a citrus beurre blanc. That salmon was some of the best salmon Ive ever had. The proteins were accompanied by herb roasted red potatoes and baby summer squash. The dessert. Im dreaming about their cheesecake. We opted to have several flavors of their cheesecake served family style. SO GOOOOOOD! The white chocolate salted caramel...oh my. I can eat a GIANT slice of that deliciousness. And the oreo....alksdjfl;aksdjf;laj. Everyone raved about the food and several people said that this was our best event in our 11 years of hosting this Mothers Day Luncheon. The AV equipment worked beautifully. We had a singer, a DJ, a powerpoint presentation, and a speaker. Everything in the ballroom was set-up to handle our needs perfectly. Every last detail was perfect. We had vendors attending our event so Noor set up tables with linens for them so everything would look uniform and beautiful. Our theme was Breakfast at Tiffanys so Robert set up the movie to play in the background of our event. Every lady that walked in was given a glass of champagne to start the event. Everything was just SO elegant and beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly. The waiters, waitresses, and the bartenders helped make our event really awesome. I personally thanked as many as I could before I left. I highly recommend having an event here. Everything was beautiful and the staff were amazing. I cant wait to host another event at Noor!

Planning a wedding can be a daunting task, but with the right team it can actually be a rather enjoyable experience. Robert and Maggie, the owners, of Noor took such great care of my husband and I that I felt like I was among family. They were extremely accommodating and were always super responsive. After checking out a number of different venues in the Pasadena area, I fell in love with Noors Sophia Ballroom (the Ella Ballroom is also beautiful but better suited for smaller events). Not only did it offer the elegant and modern style that I was looking for, but their prices were excellent, not to mention ALL INCLUSIVE! Yes, you heard that right! When you get your invoice you arent going to find surprise fees or service charges, everything is already calculated directly into the price they show you from the beginning. Now onto the important stuff. My husband and I opted for a full service OPEN BAR for the entire night! It was a great choice for us and our guests and Noor did an excellent job of keeping the drinks flowing and our guests happy. Now the second most important thing of the evening, the food. I love that we were able to request modifications during our tasting and that they were actually implemented for our wedding. Some of the highlights from our reception included the Chicken and Waffles, Coconut Shrimp, and Caprese Skewers (passed hordeuvres). We also served Boneless Ribeye, Grilled Salmon and Mushroom Raviolis as our entrees (the raviolis are a must try). If you do not want a plated dinner, they also have a myriad of other choices for you to choose from. As well as AV packages and anything else you might want to include for your wedding (like a photobooth). The staff was always super friendly and helpful (even when our guests were getting kind of rowdy). I want to give a big thank you to their banquet manager Amin. He worked flawlessly with my other vendors and helped ensure that my special day went off without a hitch. I could not have asked for a better team and support group throughout this entire process. I would highly recommend hosting your next event here!

I plan dozens of events a year, from small business functions, to large charitable events, and even weddings. Its RARE to find a venue like Noor Ballroom. In my humble opinion, what makes Noor better than your average venue is not the absolutely delicious food, its not the amazingly beautiful venue, its not even the ridiculously reasonable prices. No, all those things are icing on the cake, but what makes this particular venue stand out in a sea of places with tasty food, ambience, and comparable prices is the SERVICE. I threw a big charitable Halloween Ball at the Ella Ballroom last night for 200 guests. Robert Shahnazarian was a dream to work with from start to finish. He made the process so simple, from our first phone call, to the venue walk-though, to the menu planning, and all the way through leading up to the day of the event. He listened to my needs, worked within my budget, followed up promptly, gave me great insight and ideas to enhance our event, and he did everything effortlessly and efficiently. He knows exactly what hes doing, and that takes away a lot of the stress of planning a large event. On the day of the event, the on-site manager did a great job seeing to our needs, the staff were professional and efficient, and they rolled with all of the punches (helped us with a stand for our step & repeat banner when our stand wasnt the right type, moved furniture around to accommodate the needs of our vendor sponsors, did a great job passing the appetizers and tending the bar, etc.) Robert even dropped in to say hello and make sure everything was running smoothly, and then sent me a follow-up email in the morning to ensure that I was happy with how everything came together. I would recommend this venue without a shadow of a doubt. I will look to them for future venue needs, and will refer them to friends, clients, and family. They have my full stamp of approval.
