Worst bowling alley around. My teammate, who was taking my gear to his home for the week, as I was on the motorcycle...left my gear on the lane, promptly called when he arrived home, they said ALL my gear was there and accounted for each piece individually. Once they said they have and will store my gear..they are responsible. I go to retrieve all my gear and they have a story ready for me!!! Before we even look they tell me how they arent responsible, I just heard that they liked my gear and kept it. After these clowns take me for a walk around the entire alley, "to search for your stuff" only to find JUST MY SHOES(!) at the front counter. Ill let you extrapolate what happened to my property. Id bowled here in a league. Ive dragged friends here to bowl for fun. Ive visited the bar for drinks. They deserve to go out of business. Avoid at all costs...if you like your property. The funniest part is the owner of the pro shop gave me that ball. He wanted me to bowl, he was passionate about bowling, he wanted everyone to bowl. Money was a byproduct not the goal. Its tough to speak with someone who most likely stole from you...while theyre lying to your face. I havent bowled since.

Bought a $30 Groupon package for my kids and expect to have some fun of bowling. They came back with sad faces. They are one 19-yrs boy, one 19-yrs girl, one 16-yr boys, and a 11-yr girl and they are using 6 lb. balls, because they cannot handle heavy balls. After one game, a staff showed up and yelled at them "If you guys keep bowling like that (fast), it will DAMAGE the balls, and I will KICK you out of the place." What? "Bowl the ball too fast?!". Never heard about that, nor see any posting notes. They do have a speed-meter though. But, who knows what that is for. People might think it is a "feature" just like in a batting cage. Of course, you can have any rules (including ridiculous ones), but you can say it nicely, instead of threatening. Afterward, all the party chemistry is destroyed, and they dont want to bowl at all. It looks people in other reviews also experienced the rudeness of the staff. I should have listened to them. But, that is fine. Hope my loss is your gain. Let all the people know. "Avoid this place by all means!"

I would give it zero stars if possible....Most horrible unprofessional experience I ever had at a family friendly venue. Afton the bowling manager was the rudest person we have ever encountered. Despite numerous technical difficulties of the lanes not working properly, he refused to give us more time for time lost while waiting for lane to be repaired, then closed our lane 10 min prior to the hour, no apology, not offering extra time or some money back for the $46 we paid for the hour and bowled for maybe a total of 20 mins. We were shocked by this horrible customer service, the rest of the staff was not much better. We will definitely not be back and make sure we share this experience with our friends and family. Dont waste your time and money, there are much better, classier options available in the area.

Homestead Bowl is a good place for experienced bowlers, the prices are cheap, free water, they have bowling leagues, and a pro-shop. You can rent a bowling ball from the pro-shop to practice your hooks. For those not wanting to bowl they have an arcade and pool. Sometimes the machines for bowling miscalculate your score and music from the bar can be very noisy and disrupt your bowling, most of the time outside there are people smoking. In all this is a great place to practice your bowling but, I would recommend to stay away from the bar though.

Never been here before and will not come back anytime soon, no matter how cheap it is! We started at the Bar and ordered shots of Patron, it burned my throat and I could only do half the shot. Patron doesnt leave a burning feeling in your throat! That should of already told me not to bowl! Well, we did! the staff is unorganized and our lanes were already payed for and we had to wait 40 minutes for our bowling shoes..Its cheap and you pay what you get for.

A lot of fun for a party with friends. The food is a little overpriced in my opinion, but it tastes good and the games are fairly priced so everything seems to even out in the end. I come here with my friends whenever we want to celebrate something since were all broke and games here are so cheap. The place is often crowded, so there can be a line sometimes, but we have never had a problem getting a lane yet.

Great place to hang out with friends without paying a lot. Birthday parties for kids are very fun here too. The X Bar is a lot of fun. The bowling is much better then the place at Valco mall, because HL actually takes care of their lanes and actually oil the lanes at least once a day. Cosmic Bowling is really cool, Overall, great place for any age group or any event

Does it hurt them to service with a smile. We had a group of people on 4 lanes, 2 lanes having issues, someone leisurely came and reset from the back, but acted as if we broke down their bowling alley. So rude. The fourth time, the balls got stuck and wouldnt come back on the belt. At that point, we decided to leave and not even use our prepaid time on the lane.

Since bowling alleys are harder and harder to find, its nice that this one is still around. It needs some work -- for example, the mens bathroom is in horrible condition, with all urinals broken -- but achieves what it needs to for bowling. The lanes are good, and the pinsetters pretty reliable. League bowling has a good mix of folks for various walks of life.

The alley is pretty big and theres a lot going on inside. My girlfriend and I wanted to join a league and I inquired with the organizer. After checking out the lane she helped us out with the schedule and even gave us coupons to check out the lanes as it was our first time visiting. The lanes have an older feel to it but its a bowling, what do people expect.

This place is not all fancy unlike the new modern bowling places, has more strict rules, and the equipment are not the newest but it has that fun and casual bowling alley place I used to go when I was younger. They also have a separate room for the bar that has a live band. Their prices are great and they got a different promotions.

This place is the bomb now! Since they remoled it is a great place to have fun with the family, friends or your significant other. The fellow who attended us was very friendly and gave us extra 15mins free to play. I like the way it is now. I highly recommended to all of you who is looking for a place to have awesome fun!!

The X Bar has real live music and it is all ages. Ive seen 10+ shows there and always had a good time. I tried the bowling and it seemed ok, but the live music is why I go. The crowd depends on the bands playing but Ive never seen a bad scene. Go. Dance.
