Mary Poppins on 7/26 at 2PM. Without a rousing, energizing overture to launch the show, it was imperative that the players show enthusiasm and impart energy to the show. They need to up the tempo in order to help achieve this. Sadly the dialog did not flow and the choreography was absent for much of the show. It was almost like separate scenes or vignettes. There were two realty good musical numbers...Supercalifragilistic and also the one with the chimney sweeps and brooms. We enjoyed the beautiful theater and the use of wonderful staging was really impressive. What a gem you have!

The Alabama Shakespeare festival is wonderful, but the booking staff for school trips is under new management. The reservation we made were "lost" we when got there. We were thr last to be seated, ans we were not given priority seating for having registered early as we had been given for years under new management. The shows are amazing, but the management needs a lesson in organization and manners

Enjoyed my visit here. We watched Sherlock, which was a great performance. The performers did an outstanding job. I also enjoyed the Q&A session they held afterwards while we watched them set up the stage for the next show (the Tempest). Very interesting. The park surrounding the theater was nice. Inside it is small but not overcrowded. They allowed drinks (wine!) inside the theater which was nice.

Broadway quality performances close to home! I grew up in NY (and am a bit of a theater snob). Ive been to 4 shows at ASF so far and have been impressed with everything, the actors, costumes, orchestra, etc. I love it so much Im planning on become a member/donor. Keep up the great work ASF!

Always a top quality production and Sherlock Holmes was no exception. The acting, set, and lighting was great. They needed a better system for refreshments during intermission. The line was so long with only one person working it you couldnt get something before the curtain call.

If you love plays, you have to visit this place. Its absolutely beautiful and the park is also. Go early before your curtain call and walk the grounds and just take in the scenery. I love this place. And the.actors and actresses are at the top of their game.

The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is always a delight. Most recently, we saw The Count of Monte Cristo and enjoyed every minute. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for a jog or a stroll; the theater is especially striking at night.

World-class theater. I love this venue. Its beautiful inside. One of the great theaters. Amazing thought-provoking shows every season. Best theatre in town on every level imaginable. Wonderful venue that puts on excellent productions.

Alabama Shakespeare Festival is an absolutely wonderful place to visit and to see a play. The plays are just as good, if not better than Broadway plays. If you are visiting the area or just passing through, you need to visit.

Montgomery is very fortunate to have a facility of this stature. The park around is lovely and the quality of the theatre is great. Sadly, the Saturday night performance was more than half empty.

The park surrounding the theater is superb by itself, but the plays shown here are as professional as you can get! Excellent place to either see a show or chill at the park (even has a dog park)!

I volunteered at the theatre some years ago, and have visited the park quite frequently. The staff was very nice, professional, and down to earth. The park is always nice and clean and peaceful!

I saw Mousetrap randomly with family. The performance was excellent. The interior of the Festival Stage could use a face lift. They have the same old carpet as when I was there in the late 80s.
