I went to Birmingham, AL for a family reunion . My cousin told me they knew some night spots in the city for us to go to. We went in and paid admission. The vibe was family friendly and mellow. It is a nice lounge .There were jazz performances here before but this day it was club theme. The drinks were good, my cousins and I were dancing and having a good time. There were positive vibes in the atmosphere. The location was convenient too since we were by a waffle house that grabbed our attention to go eat and theres other stores and restaurants around. I plan to go back and see the jazz performances If youre in Birmingham and want to have a fun girls night out with your family or friends, go to the Merienda Lounge! You wont be disappointed!!!

My husband and I went to the Merienda for a burlesque style show. The venue was great, well designed, and set up well. There does need to be better monitoring of the bathrooms because the ladies bathroom ran out of soap. There was also water puddles on the floor. The food was great. I prefer breaded chicken wings and I couldnt eat enough of them. Overall, we had a great time.

$50 for my husband and I to stand around and watch others not dance...thats ridiculous. Even if it is Magic City Classics weekend. No seats! They pre-sell the sections. the one they had left when we got here was $400! Thats ridiculous! I see why we dont club. The music selection was pretty good though. My drink was $6 which is reasonable.

It was nice but we were lured there by false advertisement. It was something stating on their website that if it was your birthday free admission. After several attempts they finally let her in after showing them the advertisement. But who wants to go through this just honor what you say!

Went to a show that started @7pm. The host did not let the long line of us in until exactly 7:00 and valet was terrible. The show was awesome though which made up forthe wait. .
