When I think of this place I think they should use the Arbys slogan "We have the MEATS"!!! They have it all from ribs, chicken, brisket ect its all there for the eating! From the moment you enter till the time you get your meal you have a friendly staff helping you. Since this isnt your traditional sit down place it can be overwhelming but the staff makes it easy. The process You get in a line to order your meat first (yes they left you try it first!). The only drawback is the price. Because food is charged by weight, it is really easy to end up with a really expensive dinner. They put a sticker on your card with how much your meat costs so you know. Then they send you over to the sides and you repeat the process. However they have set price on the board for the sides. Finally they seat you and take your drink and later your dessert order. The food I ordered the pork ribs w/ bake beans and my wife ordered the brisket with mac & cheese. Wow both meats were great. They were cooked very well and had great flavor. The BBQ sauce they use was some of the better Ive ever had. Normally most places bake beans are average at best. These were definitely above average and not out of a can so if you like bake beans go for it. My wife said her Mac & Cheese was really good it definitely looked good but I didnt try it. The place It definitely is a Texas feel to it. We went on a Saturday night and it was very crowded. They had a stage for live bands so they must have them in often. Conclusion The food was great I would give consider a five if the price wasnt high. If you are in the area this is a fun place to hit up if you want to eat some good BBQ. Just be prepaid to pay my bill for me and my wife was 50 bucks and my wife didnt get alot and both of us had water so no dessert or drinks.

I just went to the Monday night all-you-can-eat and I must say that the bbq has regained my respect from the smokey flavors and tender cuts. My friends and I did 2 rounds of getting brisket, pork ribs, and chicken, and I realized that not all rounds are the same. The first round had a bad cut with dry lean brisket, but the second blew me away with this moist and fatty prime cut. Anyway, from the food stance, here are my recommendations: * Moist brisket - with the right cut, this is heavenly and melts in your mouth with the right mix of flavor * Chicken - surprisingly tender and moist even for the main breast piece that we ate last. Very strong bbq flavors. * Pork ribs - smokey, but not my favorite * Sweet potato burbon mash - this is a must! it tastes like its carmelized with honey and its so good * mac & cheese - made with penne pasta, its delicious, but I think a bad choice for all-you-can-eat * cornbread - I dont know whats in the butter, but it brings out a great flavor iin the whole thing. The one thing that I think is missing from here (which I love about other bbq places) are the plethora of different bbq sauces. Here, they just have the hill country home made one and a watery spicy one - both of which pair nicely with the meat. Final thought: The moist brisket and sweet potato burbon mash really set this place apart, and forms a meal Id have any day.

Service was ok. Bartender ran out of the Cajun 75 but made me a standard french 75. The server and bartender were apologetic about it. I had the Que 2 (more on this in a bit) and half pound of prime rib. I was hoping to get standard Q today but it was not meant to be. The pitmaster was heavy on the salt. I have a love hate status with this place. When they get it right its freaking delicious bbq. When they get it wrong, might as well offer a salt lick because thats what it tastes like. The Que 2 is 2 meats, 2 sides, and cornbread for 23 dollars (excludes prime rib, short rib, and special meats.) I had the mac and cheese (always good) and green bean casserole (its ok.) Upon receipt of the bill, i was charged individually for everything (which adds up to roughly $20 more.) The sides are not small but kids size (but you get a good amount of food for the price.) A Mexican coke ended up on the bill even though I never had one. A quick talk with the service fixed the issues (91.07 original bill with mistakes and the correct bill was 71.67.) 3 stars for an ok experience. Its hit the spot due to hunger but wasnt what i call good. Should have just went to Chipotle. Will probably not return on my own (if you want to pad the bill at least tuck it into a large party and not a party of 1.) But if my friends want to go Ill tag along.

This place is a big flaming pile of crap. Sitting here on my porcelain throne at 5AM Im recollecting back on what I ate to put me in this predicament(possible food poisoning TBD). First off me and my girlfriend went to this establishment for her friends birthday dinner party of 20 so its only natural you cant pick what you want to have and we had a set menu. So for $60 I had some Mac and cheese 2 ribs 3 slices of brisket and a chicken wing. Now I get this is Manhattan so prices reflect that but if the food was decent I have no problem paying any amount of money for a good meal. So now about the food the ribs were God awful and the brisket was so so (average) and the chicken was undercooked tasteless rubbish with a lil BBQ sauce slapped on there to hide the fact a child could do better in a easy bake oven. This is my first review on a restaurant ever I hope I didint go to hard on them. But NYC has no street cred for BBQ and this doesent help. I live upstate NY and my go to spot is Brothers BBQ. One look at these guys and you know your in good hands. You really need the passion and dedication to make great BBQ so many people try. But good BBQ comes from the soul and clearly hill county BBQ market is dead inside. Oh yea I did like the music tho hahah.

If its real authentic Texas Barbecue that you crave? This is the right place. Line up to choose your meat entrees such as short rib, beef shoulder or clod, beef brisket, loin of pork, pulled pork, burnt ends, and jalapeno sausage. Then belly-up to the fixins stand for southern style corn pudding, coleslaw, baked pinto beans, collard greens, and sweet potatoe pudding. Hefty alcohol drinks served in Mason jars or pitchers. Live country and blue grass bands churn up the night down stairs. Each item selected is marked onto your score card, which is settled at the cashiers station on your way out the door. Waitresses keep the drinks flowing or you can sit at the bar. Prices are medium. A selection of three types of meat costs $27 and includes a selection of two sides plus corn bread. Drinks and desert are extra.
