Founders is a bit slow, but it is worth the wait. Always in good shape. Great layout in a traditional "American style" golf course. Iron Forge is my favorite golf course that Ive ever played. The last 4 holes are so much fun to play. I have been up on day trips, and stayed overnight, including multiple nights. Ive played 54 holes in one day there around a dozen times. The staff has always been great, very helpful and accommodating. The replay rates are fantastic. The county where Penn National is located is "dry" but you can bring your own beer and the course provides coolers and ice so you can bring it out on the course with you. Cant recommend Penn National enough. It is a fantastic place to play golf.

I have played a few courses over the years and they all give you a unique experience. Penn National really is a special place for me and I absolutely love losing every ball i bring playing here. Im terrible at golf but love to play. Penn National is definitely my favorite. Some tee boxes are just nice to stand up on and enjoy the breeze and the beauty of the course, take a deep breath and knock the @#$^ out of the ball.

Very well kept, somewhat challenging, and scenic course. I would give it 4 stars if it werent so slow. I played three rounds over three days: Friday at 12:20 (Iron Forge), Saturday at 8:35 (Founders), and Sunday at 9:05 (Founders). Each round went over five hours. Waited on all 54 holes.

5 hour rounds the norm on Founders. Manager said so after I complained. He said he couldnt fix it! Too bad; beautiful course (kudos to groundskeeper); terrible management that isnt customer focused. Spend your $60 some place else!

Very good courses. The breakfast is buffet and service is good. The dinner needs work. Like the place pool hours are too short. They also need a hot tub. Sleeping accommodations are good for large and small groups. .

Played the Founders course the first time (Oct 2015) Very beautiful course and in fantastic condition Pro shop staff, starter and all other employees were both friendly and helpful. Plan to go back again & again.

The GM BILL KLIMKIEWICZ is a total @$!*%. He treats his employees like total dog @$!*%. He is rude and inconsiderate. He doesnt care about customer concerns one bit. Dont golf here
