A Private User

The Reston Community Orchestra is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) all-volunteer ensemble devoted to music and the community. Performance repertoire covers the entire spectrum of orchestral music from classical and romantic to contemporary compositions. The orchestra is self-supporting, funded by contributions from the community and orchestra members, as well as through grants. RCO has never charged admission fees for its regular season concerts. Funds received from donations at each concert and contributions to the Annual Benefit support the RCO general operating expenses. Our Board is made up of volunteers from both the community and the orchestra. Reston Community Orchestra is a member of the Arts Council of Fairfax County, Virginians for the Arts, The Cultural Alliance of DC, the Arts Alliance of Reston, and the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).

Nice community center i take my son to the playgroup class which is free and held twice a week. Staff is very nice. The pool and their classes are also very good. I took one and my swim teacher Britney was wonderful. Tip for the new comers: the center doesnt have direct access from the car. It is behind the shops. You will need to park the car and walk.

They have a wide variety of programs that are discounted for Reston residents. I saw a Veterans Day performance by Stephen Lang and a MLK Day performance by Anna Deveare Smith. Both were phenomenal. Im honestly surprised that they had this caliber show out in the burbs. Parking is at the Safeway shopping center.

This place is a great place for gatherings. The down side is the parking. You park in the shopping center and walk there. It is behind the shopping center. The pool does get cramped with people from time to time

Indoor pool is nice. Apart from it closing too early, its a great community center. Offers an area for the arts, a stage, and many great programs. Its good for what it is.

They have wonderful programs for all ages, a theater with eclectic performances, a swimming pool, and more. You can rent out space for parties.

The Reston Community Center has one of the best equipped woodworking shops in Fairfax County thats open to the public.
