The permanent collections are limited, though somewhat larger and more handsomely mounted than those of its counterpart at Middlebury College, and parking less than convenient ( see website for details ). Also, the Fleming suffers from comparison with the Shelburne Museum in nearby Shelburne which, alas, closes for the fall and winter seasons.

Items on display were nice, some great history there, my problem is the workers sitting around in different rooms, one worker in particular was just rude to a young child because he put his hand on the statue, made it very unwelcoming. Otherwise the artifacts are very interesting.

Beautiful building and nice exhibits. The museum isnt huge but will still take a good 90 minutes to two hours to visit.

Amazing free museum of the arts. Often displaying amazing historic pieces brought in from all over the globe.
