We went to the playground part of the park. This is a well designed playground. It is completely enclosed by a fence, and has one gate entrance with doors that would be heavy for little kids to open. There are places all around the park for adults to sit; benches and short walls. There are trees which provide shade in some places. There is a big playground area with climbing fort and long curly slides and monkey bars. There is bark ground underneath so its not too hard. There are swings for little kids and for bigger kids which require an adult to push them. There is a merry go round type structure on a very springy surface. There is a big sandy area for dirt play. There is a splash pad with buttons to push and make sprinklers come on that your kids can run through. The coolest thing is the artificial creek which ends in the water spewing out the big dragons nostrils. Now, having said all this positive stuff, you really do have to supervise your kid, because despite all the safety features, they still can get hurt. They can fall in the playground area and they can slip in the water area (although not so much IN the water, but just on the concrete sidewalks surrounding those areas, which are slippery). They can get hit by swings if they walk in front of them. So its not just a run-wild type of place. But with normal supervision, its a GREAT little park! There are clean bathrooms just outside the gate, and there are picnic tables a short walk away. BEST of all...this is a FREE park!

As a sponsor of the Miracle League of Southlake, Texas we are glad to have Metro-tel as a proud supporter of the Miracle League of Southlake, Texas. Opening day, September 26th, at Bicentennial Park was the opening of its inaugural season at the Texas Rangers Miracle League Field, in Southlake’s Bicentennial Park. If you don’t already know about the Miracle League, it’s about helping children with disabilities to play baseball on a typical baseball field. We had a lot of fun and were able to see Southlake Mayor Laura Hill and former Mayor John Terrell throw out the first pitch of the day. Bill Buffington Audit Visuals

Very state of the art baseball fields. The 4 smaller fields were built a few years ago and are very well maintained. I wish we had fields like this when I was in little league. It was rare to play night games cause only few fields in the whole city had lights. Its OK, I relive those days by umpiring games at Bicentennial. Not the same but I enjoy watching the kids have fun. The coaches can be intense, but usually only when theyre losing. Lol! Cant wait till the renovations of the bigger fields are done

Excellent park. Bring a change of clothes for the little ones, there are water features and damp sand. I feel like the zip lines, swings, climbing structures, and water features are some of the best you will find locally and for free.

Large park with a great enclosed playground area. The playground has areas for older and younger kids. Some parental supervision probably required for some of the more challenging rope structures. The zip line is a lot of fun too.

My son who is 18 months absolutely LOVES this park. The water during the summer months helps cool him off and during the rest of the time there is so much to explore he is occupied for hours!
