Golf is a game of etiquette, gamesmanship, and most of all, a game that is to be enjoyed while not taking things too seriously. When you see patrons cussing, and quite literally trying to start fist fights on the golf course, well... that is the last place I want to golf. No marshall, nobody monitoring the play or "attitudes of the golfers, and just a lack of etiquette between fellow golfers. Ill spend my money somewhere else where there are professionals monitoring the course, people not constantly hitting in to me, and not having to worry about wanna-be macho clowns trying to start fights with people on the course.

The course is fine, it is pretty straightforward and in the summer is usually in good condition. When it is very wet then it is a mud pit, but thats just the bad soil we have in the Portland area. The one thing that is excellent about Gresham Golf Course is the instruction. Jim Chianello is a fantastic instructor, and I dont mean just good for Gresham, I mean he is probably one of the better instructors in Oregon.

Gresham Golf may not have the rolling hills and views of other courses around town, but that doesnt make it any worse.
