An oasis in the midst of calamitous noise. An easy trail providing an ideal place to get your steps in for the day. After a little on the trail as I walked away from the city I forgot that I had just came from a busy, noisy place. The beautiful sounds of the birds, which are in abundance, and the calming, rhythmic sounds of the lake settled my heart and lifted my spirit. The trail provides ample shade when the sun is out and hot and benches for resting and taking in the melodic sounds. I really enjoyed sitting on the benches at the overlook taking in the cityscape and watching the boats on the water.

A pile of dredge spoil that is rapidly turning into a lakeside forest. Right now there is exceptional birdwatching, a loop trail, a herd of deer, scrubby trees, and great views of the city. In fifty years there should be a proper coastal forest. The Port of Cleveland (not the Metroparks), which owns and administrators the reserve, is working to add more benches, more signage, and to eliminate invasive plants.

My wife and I were visiting Cleveland for the Cleveland clinic. We took an afternoon walk in this simple yet Beautiful place. Less than 100 yards in we saw two buck deer just off the trail. We really enjoyed the relaxing walk along the lake shore... Beautiful nature walk...

We found this Park totally by accident this summer and have spent many evening sitting and watching the lake and sunsets. Its a wonderfully park thats not overrun with people or traffic. Clean and quiet, I guess thats why we like it so much. Thanks Cleveland

Great little place. Quite a bit of wildlife so close to the city. Only did a quick walk through, maybe half of the trails. We spotted many varieties of bird and several deer. The views are great also. Hope to visit again some day when we have more time.

Easy access from I-90, plenty of parking, easy to follow trails. Lots of botanical and bird species, with benches along the way to take it all in. A great retreat from the hustle of the city.

Never very crowded. There are several good vantage points along the trail that arent a lot of effort to get to.
