Been to BB&T Park twice this season. Most recent was July 4 group outing. The "Picnic Area" is considered GA seating. The facility overbooks the area so you are not guaranteed a seat. (Which by the way, are picnic tables) (Which by the way are not the best way to try and watch a game) But no worries, you will be one of the few actually watching the game. Its basically an outdoor sports bar. Geared towards young singles with money (you will need money and lots of it) and corporate sponsorships. The ballpark itself is well designed and most seat views are good. The sound system is poor at best. Single A stadiums have better sound. The electronic scoreboard rarely shows a replay. But there are plenty of "noise meters" (sponsored by different companies) throughout the game. There are two noise enhancers throughout the game. The sound of broken glass for a foul ball (followed by the glass replacement ad) and the "whooooo" made famous by a certain wrestler of the area. Not much of fan interaction between innings either. If youre lucky maybe youll catch a cheap tee with a beer logo on it. Nothing of any value is given away. Youll need to spend big bucks for anything of value. The food is nothing special and very overpriced. Buy something from a street vendor before you go in if you need to eat. Street prices are a fraction of concession prices and usually better. For example the hamburgers served to our group were grossly undercooked and of poor quality to begin with. And unlike major league stadiums you can not carry in any food or drink of any kind of any amount. The park is typical of Charlotte. Wanting oh so much to be "Big League" but missing the mark on so many different levels. If you enjoy the game of baseball and actually go for the game, drive to Kannapolis or Gastonia and watch their teams at a fraction of the admission price in Charlotte. If you want the big league feel, you can drive to Atlanta and pay a cheaper price for a decent seat and carry in your own food.

This ballpark is almost too majestic for this town but charlotte is more than capable of supporting this AAA franchise (of the Chicago White Sox) with one of the most beautiful skyline views in the country. Ive sat in the most expensive seats in the house (a whopping $25 gets you directly behind home plate) to the cheapest, standing room only seats (for $7) and theyre isnt a bad place in the house. There is an amazing variety of food, drinks, desserts, beer and alcohol for great prices as far as sports vending prices go. There are always things going on around you, which is great for a night out with the kids or take your shot at getting your loved one seen on the kiss-cam. There are early comer giveaways, after game fireworks, t-shirt tosses, and a great mascot making "his/her" rounds all about the park. If youve ever been to a major league game there is pretty much nothing there that you wont experience here. Its just all in miniature, which shows the entire major league experience is modeled and perfected at this level. This is absolutely one of several MUST SEE/MUST DO places in Charlotte even if youve been to a minor league game anywhere else. Oh and btw, theres some really good baseball players here, often down from the majors, rehabbing or working on aspects of their game.

Great family fun that doesnt break the bank! There isnt a bad seat in the place. Sit behind the plate and youll see the city skyline and get the benefits of being able to go inside the air conditioned and enlosed lounge with a full bar. Sit at the wall and youll be treated to a beautiful sunset during the evening games. Theres great local food kiosks near every seating area and beer available from local breweries. Every time Ive gone Ive found the other people friendly and its easy to talk throughout the game to strangers having a good time. Parking hasnt been too much of a problem (for Charlotte) on the nights Ive gone, but season ticket holders get a parking deck across the street which is incredibly convenient. And, if you want to make it a longer night, theres plenty of places within walking distance open after the game. Overall great night out!

The park is absolutely beautiful and set up nicely with the skyline as the backdrop beyond the outfield wall. Not a bad seat in the place and not a moment missed even when going to the concessions or a walk. Plenty of great food and tons of beer choices, expect typical ballpark prices. Parking can be tricky in the urban environment with one way roads, so plan accordingly. Lots and decks are a couple of blocks away in each direction. Easily one of the nicest parks in the country. Now if only they werent a White Sox affiliate, but hey, you cant have everything.

The Home Pate club is so much fun and a nice getaway during the heat. $25 tickets are not bad (for section 112) and I believe the organization does a great job with the entertainment aspect of going to a home game. You really cant have a bad seat in this stadium so if price is a concern, go on the less expensive side, you wont be disappointed. The box office folks are very friendly and always willing to help with seat selection. Nothing but positive experiences when calling them and great customer service!

One of the nicest parks in minor league baseball. Love the view of Charlotte from the seats. You need to go to a night game to really appreciate the view when the lights are illuminating the city. The employees are friendly and the fans are too even if you are rooting for the other team. I have been to 25 different cities this season and the Charlotte ballpark is only second in my experience to Pensacola and it was close. Must see!

Last night we had the privilege to assist to a Charlotte Knights game v Durham Bulls. Charlotte Knights Won!! Great stadium with comfortable seats. There is no "bad seats" literally. Whatever place you choose your view is going to be terrific and you can experience the action super close. The staff is great as well. And they make you feel like you are part of their family. We will be back soon for another W!

The Knights are just fine but I had a terrible experience at the whisky river food concession. First at all, $10 for a wrap its a bit pricey for food in a Minor League Game. But second and most important, the food was simply gross. Im not looking to get any refunds or anything for free but it made me mad to pay $10 for a cold wrap that had lettuce from a long, long time ago. It tasted very bad.

LOVE IT! Tons of fun! The only negative thing that could be said is about the one usher upstairs near the cafe named "Gary".... he is rather rude & looks like he walks around with a black cloud over his head. People like him shouldnt be working with guests/customers. Otherwise, its a blast! Every seat is a good one, the food is awesome, and Homer is great!

Great bang for the buck. Most impressive minor league stadium Ive ever visited. Ive enjoyed every single area of the stadium including SRO, field seats, HR Alley, HR porch,Budweiser HomePlate club, Diamonds Direct Suites... All perfect for the price. Liquor only available in certain areas. Complimentary popcorn in home plate and diamond club.
