Deer Run was a great playing experience. For only being March, the course was in immaculate shape, demonstrating how well taken care of it is. The greens and tee boxes were particularly memorable, with the greens being quicker and more fair than any previous course I had played this year. The tee boxes were level and well-maintained, making it easy to find a good spot to hit from on every hole. The course has a great pace of play too, as our group finished in just over 3 hour on a busy day. The warm-up facilities were also great to use, the putting green was large enough for several people to be on at once, with both flat shots and breaking putts available. And while the range is mats-only, it has plenty of stalls, and plenty of targets to hit to. The golf carts have an excellent GPS system, and also run smoothly. All-in-all a great course experience. The hospitality and overall off-course experience was one of the best Ive encountered at any course. And not just this year. The staff was universally friendly and welcoming, creating a great atmosphere. The head golf pro and general manager, Tom, sat with us just to chat about golf and the course. He was great to talk to and it was easy to tell why he was named the most innovative folks in golf. The food and beverage selection was good, and the food itself was excellent. All at fair prices. Even better, the seating area overlooks the 10th fairway and 18th green, so you can take in some golf while you eat. Deer Run is a fantastic overall golf experience and I cant wait to play there again.

The golf course is beautiful all throughout the year! The grounds crew clearly works hard and every time Im golfing early and I run into them trying to mow they are very respectful and let me do my thing quickly. The second you walk into the course you are greeted very friendly cart boys who are eager to help me out and also very friendly and willing to help me out with any request I have. The clubhouse is a nice quaint building decorated beautifully and the pro-shop has ample amounts of non-expensive and high quality items! Also the pro-shop/front desk manager is always very friendly and helpful. Then walking into the clean and pretty kitchen you are greeted by very nice and cute kitchen workers. The women behind the counter are always helpful, cheerful, and friendly. The food is delicious and there are wonderful places in and outside of the clubhouse to enjoy your food. Also the kitchen staff always has their same cute and friendly workers driving around the course to sell drinks and snacks. Deer Run Golf Course is always accommodating and helpful. Im always looking forward to go back there and golf and have fun again week after week!

I really enjoyed myself at Deer Run. I was welcomed by the staff when I walked into the clubhouse and grabbed some food and drink before my round. The girls at the bar were very friendly and in a great mood. Once on the course it was a nice challenge as it is not the longest course but you need to be straight or else. The fairways and tee boxes are groomed well and the greens are some of the best I have played in the Twin Cities. I saw the beverage cart every 4 holes which is great, most courses I may see the cart once on the front and again on the back. Always a smile from the lovely girls. I also finished the round in under 4 hours playing as a 4-some which doesnt happen nowadays, the course is a friendly set-up in order to make that happen (as long as your somewhat straight). Overall I give Deer Run an "A" from their course to facility. I will be back again and will refer this course to other golfing buddies. Thanks Deer Run!!

Worst experience on a Golf Course in 10 years!!! Myself and 2 out-of-town Friends tried to play 18 on a Sat. Morning.. They let a group of 6 tee off one group ahead of us. The Foursome in front of us tried to push play forward but were helpless and the Ranger did nothing to move the Group of 6 alone at a faster pace. Took just shy of 5 HOURS to play a pretty basic course. At $73.00 per 18 youd think they would understand basic golf procedures. Will never go back!

Great Place to hold events, great staff, great condition and events are enthusiastically and energetically run by the GM and his staff. Friendly atmosphere for regular golf and pace of play is valued, clearly important and motivated by the staff and fellow golfers that I play with when golfing at Deer Run. I am on committees for 4 outings that are held here on an annual basis and rain or shine it is always Fun at the Run!!!

Todays round was awesome! This was my second time playing this course and it was even better than the first. The staff was incredibly easy to deal with and the course was in great shape. Its always nice to play a course that challenges your game and also your patience when planning out shots. I will definitely be returning as soon as I can to do it all over again!

Gorgeous course with a perfect atmosphere to enjoy a nice day of golf. Clubhouse has a very homey feel and the staff is great. If youre looking for a fun place to play a foursome, or get out to challenge yourself, this place is definitely it. Had exactly the type of Sunday needed to reset and reload for the week!! Thanks for a great round everyone at deer run!

At 6300 the course is short but it is fun because you can really score. For early spring golf in MN the course was in GREAT shape. Te greens roll true. The real beauty of this course is the houses that line each fairway. Some of the views on the back nine are great. Overall, great course, especially for the money. Id highly recommend it.

Ive heard and read about Deer Run for past couple of years. Finally decided to play. Overall well maintained, greens are fast, and staff friendly. Back 9 is shorter than front 9 by 500 yards. 8mpression is plenty of short par 4s. Its a good course but homes along most fairways is a real turnoff. Once is enough for me.

Course is in great shape. The tee boxes, fairways ,and greens are well manicured. Out of bounds is sneaky narrow, but it isnt a long course so it makes sense since you are hitting shorter clubs. A very enjoyable round and pace of play was good. I highly recommend deer run to anyone for a great golf experience.

Really enjoyable and playable golf course. Nice variety of holes and fun greens to putt. Theres also some good differentiation in difficulty. Ive played many courses in the area and Deer run is kept up and in great condition...better than most. I would definitely recommend this to handicappers large and small.

Beautiful day on a great course! This was my first time out to this course and I enjoyed the mix of the holes. Some easy and some challenging water hazards. I was surprised how many homes are pressed in around the course so be careful with a slice! Overall very fun course and Id come back here.

This place is amazing!!! This would be a home course for me to play if it was added on pcc! The carts were amazing the gps would tell you how far the people are ahead of you and pin point the greens and flags, my god and the cart gps were about two yards off at ever hole I shot,
