If you enter the park through the south side (on Dell Park Ave) be careful and drive slow, because the road was not improved for the amount of traffic due to the frisbee golf shop/players. Its a pretty large park and has a lot of facilities. The trails are good for walking/jogging. There are a bunch of kids playgrounds scattered throughout. Challenge Fitness is located on the east side. There are some beautiful historic sections that could be better maintained. My favorite spot is the little garden pathway on the west side (with the white arch, near the gazebo).

Dellwood Park is located right in Lockport and provides a great place to hold an outdoor event. Today on my first morning walk there, there were other morning walkers & joggers and a girls running group. Signs were posted by village organizations for a bicycle safety rally and an upcoming outdoor concert event. There is also a historical info board at the south end of the park, right off of Rt.171, showing a picture of what the park originally looked like & its part in the growth of the area in the late 1800s / early 1900s.

Very well maintained with several pavilions, gazebos, and amphitheaters. There are paved bike paths and beautiful bridges throughout the park. A stream with limestone rocks and canyons set this park apart from other local public places. It also has the best Disc Golf course. The people are very friendly, youth groups and summer camps are often there, the grounds keepers are also very helpful. It is clean and safe and becoming one of the highlights of Lockport. Please keep up the good work. Thank you

The course has a good mix of open, long holes and short, technical ones. Pair that with multiple tee boxes on most holes and it plays well for players of any skill level. The water, present on most holes, adds a nice feel to the course without being foreboding as discs in the drink are easy to recover. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. Overall, an excellent place to play.

The landscape of Dellwood Park has a lot to offer for anybody. Heavenly place for disc golf and not to mention some historic artifacts for photographer to all sorts of photo shoots. As an photographer, I highly recommend Dellwood Park to landscape shots. As for sports lover, best place in northern Illinois to play disc golf.

This park has hands down the best disc golf park in the area. Over 27 holes, including "bonus" holes, wide open fields, sharp banking holes in the woods, and a Pro Shop opening next month! I would recommend this park to anyone looking for a great day out, pros or complete newcomers to the sport.

A magnificent park with lots of space, wonderfully wooded areas to walk, and great facilities. I was there for the World War II Days, which couldnt have been better because of all of the great areas they could take advantage of.

Dellwood is always fun. I shoot a lot of photos around the old dams year-round. In the summer, the gazebo and grounds are fun. Year-round disc-golf (Frisbee) . Lots of places for photos. Summer has WWII reenactments and more.

Several parks. Tons of baseball diamonds and soccer fields. Frisbee golf, events, sledding hill, etc. It doesnt have a splash park or any drinking fountains. During baseball season there is a concession stand.

When Parks hold a very large event there should be Park staff to help direct traffic and find parking the event was positive experience because of the people at the event not the park staff
