We just saw The 39 Steps. We were lead to believe that it was a rollicking comedy. It wasnt. It was boring, so boring that it put us to sleep. The pratfalls and slapstick were too dumb to be comedic. Having good actors in such a poor production is sad. The actors deserved a better piece of work in which to perform. This play was just awful. Its over-the-top actions in an attempt to promote laughter didnt work; it was just not funny. $42 was way too much to spend for a 90 minute production which offered nothing in the way of amusement or enjoyment.

WELL CLEARBROOK SPECIAL CHALLENG ADULTS OF THE SPECIAL PERFORMING ACTS GROUP PUTS OUT THEIR PLAYS TO GET A CROWDS ATTENTION THAT THEYD CAN PERFORM AS WELL AS THE NORMAL PEOPLE CAN DO TOO. AND ANOTHER THING THAT ID REQUESTED IS THE TESTIMONIAL THEATER IS FOR THEM TO SPEAK THEIR WAYS OF LIFE AND IS TO LEARN THEIR OBSTACLES AND THE STRUGGLES ON THEIR LIFE PERFORMANCE AND HOW TO DEAL WITH IT TOO NOW.

Very nice theatre with comfortable seating. Great shows - we just saw a production of the classic, Hair. You can purchase beer, wine, soft drinks to take into the theatre with you. They also have a restaurant on the premises. Looked and smelled good but cant say more since we didnt eat there.

I love this small town theatre with great quality acting ensembles. The play selection is excellent, the price point is reasonable, and its small enough that any seat is a great seat. Plenty of restaurants to pick from afterwards and the train station is just a block or so away.

Nice venue. Performance was ok at best. Priced way to high for the performance quality. Lighting Technical difficulties delayed the show and sound technical difficulties persisted throughout. Staff were very nice, but didnt know what they were doing.

Went to see Young Frankenstein. The venue was great. We were able to see and hear the show perfectly. Perfect spot for a date. They have a couple more plays going on before the end of the year so dont be afraid to look them up!

Metropolis continues to impress with the variety and quality of shows. Theres not a bad seat in the house. Always a great night out with lots of restaurants down the street.

Why not do more drama plays..... the theater is not set up for musicals, and recordings are disappointing, and childrens Disney performances are a huge let down for adults.

Great little theater in suburban Arlington Heights. Intimate setting, up close and personal. Been there twice and will definitely go again. Food and drink available.
