The hotel was lovely the room comfortable and the staff helpful and gracious. But it was not until things went bad that things became great. I broke my foot at the wedding that brought me to the Shelton HiIton Garden Inn May 25-27, 2013. As I limped barefoot from the car under the portico, to a planter, to the door jamb one of the kitchen staff spotted me as he came out to the front desk. He ran over asked if he could help and when I said I had hurt my foot raced to the desk and got a wheelchair and rolled me in whilemy husband parked the car. The desk staff told us to keep the chair for the night, and got us extra plastic bags so I could ice my foot. In the morning the waiter on duty arranged furniture so I could pull up to a table. Everyone was very helpfull! Thank you.

BEDBUGS ALERT!!!!!! If i can give this place zero stars I would. I checked in on the first of September to one of there new furnished rooms on the 6 floor. I was staying there for two nights. The first night was fine every thing looked good. When i wake up the next day I was itching all over the place. I also has small bites all over my legs. I was scsry because no way that was going to be from mosquitos. I asked one of my friends for advice, and theu told me to check under the bed. When i checked under the bed the mattress was infested with bedbugs. And when i show there manager he didnt even have the decency to refund me back my money and he wanted to give a different room. There was no way i was going to stsy in that hotel.

Good choice in the area. I was in a larger suite on the 6 th floor, and I can honestly say it was one of the best nights sleep Ive had in a long time. The reception was warm, and using E-Check in Kama I was on my way with the key in under 45 seconds from the time I enter the door to the time I was waiting for the elevator The breakfast is decent, with a good selection of fruit, cereal, and pastries. Theres an adequate fitness center, and a small pool although I did not take advantage of that this time. I will definitely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Shelton on future visits to the office here as well.

Nice hotel. A bit pricey for what they offer. Their breakfast is definitely NOT worth the money. The food , (potatoes, bacon, sausage) were terrible. I did appreciate that they served hot chocolate, coffee and tea. The lobby area with the chairs and fireplace was very nice. The bed mattress was too hard and was not comfortable. Overall I would say the room was average, but clean. The hotel staff was very nice. The food was not good at all. I will give them another try but please pay attention to this feedback.

I had a great stay at the Hilton garden inn Shelton! The staff was very professional and courteous. I especially liked the text message correspondence with the front desk to check up on my stay. They even responded quickly to a matter with my room via text that I needed assistance with while I was at an event. The rooms were very clean! I would go back there again, just ask for the rooms that the black out curtains close all the way! Lots of morning sunlight:-)

Rooms arent temperature controlled, so prepare to freeze if you like having any control over your heating, not allowed here. Aim not to get an adjustable mattress, unless you enjoy cardboard covered with foam. Bathroom doors also dont stay open and the rooms are DARK, so hope you werent planning on working here. Despite not being able to stand more than 1 night, the people working here were actually incredibly accommodating and extremely nice and helpful.

Convenient location. Ample self parking in safe area. Good value for the money. Hotel lobby is nice. Breakfast is decent. Coffee station 24/7. Complementary shuttle. Breakfast and dinner available in the Grille and Bar. Full service bar daily from 5:00pm - 11:00pm.The 24 Hour Pavilion Pantry offers beverages and a selection of frozen meals you can cook in your room.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The location was great- right next to route 8, the merritt, a gas station, several resturants, and walking distance to a walgreens. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was cozy and the beds were comfortable. The only negative: the lobby smelled like chlorine. But I would definitely stay here again.

The elevators were broken for extended periods of time for our stay on the fifth floor. Instead of posting signs, the staff seemed to ignore the problem and did not provide adequate customer service considering the problem. Will not return to the Hilton Garden Inn for business again.

The hotel staff was great, we were able to get into our room early to get ready for the wedding. Nice area and desent veiw out the window. I do wish thw room had more than a desk xhair and one seat but the lobby was very comfortable to sit and hang out in.

The room was clean there was a little refrigerator and microwave food was great the only thing was that redhead big front desk lady wasnt nice but everyone else where super nice and helpful I definitely will go back and I recommended this hotels to all.

The Hilton is located minutes from my customer and provides free shuttle rides to and from the hotel to their office. The rooms have great Wi-Fi for working, very clean and food available 24 hours. Its the ideal location for those who are remote workers

The room was okay, but I felt like I was being nickle and dimed to death. Do yourself a favor and skip the $12 breakfast buffet, and drive 15 minutes to The Corner (on River St. in Milford), way better food for roughly the same price.

Well-appointed rooms with fridge and microwave which makes things convenient. Room service menu is small but decent. Good location with a lot of restaurants within walking distance and good access to the highway.

Our room was clean and comfortable. We had some last minute changess to our plans and they brought us a rollaway bed right away no problems. The parking area seems a little too small when it is busy.

Ive stayed at this hotel several times before. Overall no significant complaints however more than once I have had very loud air conditioners that make it somewhat hard to sleep

The bed and pillows were awful. We had them bring up a baby crib and it was stained and more like a playpen. My daughter is a bit fussy so that didnt fly and end up in our bed.

Didnt stay, was meeting the bride there and getting our hair done! The hotel itself was beautiful but cant say much more since I was only there for a few hours. Very clean!
