It has been one week since I saw Ms. Fishers performance. I am still laughing. This week while at a CT evening film shoot, I had the good fortune to talk to some fellow actors as most sit around jabbering waiting for the next take. Many NYC actors have no idea where Hartford is or what Hartford is all about [except crime ridden]. I was delighted to help spread the work that civilization and culture have reached Hartford. They listened with interest as I described Ms. Fishers brand of Dorothy Parkeresque humour at the Hartford Stage There is little in life more endearing than a person who exposes their trappings, material or otherwise, onstage every night to a myriad of theatregoers. Done with enormous skill, pathos and conviction, Ms. Fisher takes us through our very own catharsis while serving up incredibly hellacious and/or darling anecdotes about life in the Hollywood Bowl. Do not miss this show. If you have only one life to laugh with...this would be the week to do so. Just hope you are not sitting next to any actuaries. Ellee Bloomfield, CT 06002

A stage company is only as good as the plays it puts on. Under the direction of Darko Tresnjak it has been absolutely fabulous! Occasionally we have gone there expecting that we might not like it (we have season tickets) but are very pleasantly surprised. On the practical aspects, the theater is very comfortable and convenient. I love the stadium style seating. No looking around other peoples heads. The theater is very convenient to drive to, and the parking lot is also very convenient. For parking I recommend driving down a level. If you can navigate a flight of stairs, you can actually park much closer there. Also, Hartford Stage sells a prepaid parking ticket with the theater ticket, and it is very convenient to have the prepaid ticket when you are leaving.

Ive been to Hartford Stage for five shows now and its always amazing. The venue is kept clean, especially the bathrooms. Your view of the stage is always good even if youre in the back rows. Location is easily accessed and parking is just next door. All of this says nothing about the plays themselves which are top notch. The actors are fantastic and really sell you on the play. But theyre also backed up by surprisingly solid special effects where necessary. Just all around top notch production work every time I come here.

Took the family to see A Christmas Carol and had a wonderful time. The show itself was great! The theater really doesnt have a bad seat in the house. Even being on one of sides provided a full view of everyone on stage. The recent renovations really opened up the lobby area. I will certainly be returning.

Very cute theater. Small and intimate. Any seat in the house is a good start: you feel close no matter where you are. Quality productions here. You will not be disappointed. We travelled up from Richmond to see Anastasia in preview directed by the artistic director of Hartford Theatre. We were not disappointed.

Everything was so beautiful, even the bathrooms. I appreciated that they catered to both adults and children by having sweets and alcoholic beverages. I went to see a Christmas Carol and it was by far one of the best plays Ive ever seen, to the point where I nearly cried. You wont regret coming~

Great location and helpful staff. If you are here for a show, be sure to get the parking voucher available for purchase at the will-call counter. You pay $6.50 to park at the MAT garage on performance days, instead of the usual $10 (I think). You are welcome! :)

The play we saw was really good. The space is cramped though. There is no leg room whatsoever. Im not particularly tall, but my knees were pressed against the seat in front of me. Even when I stood up it was difficult for people to pass to get to their seats.

Wonderful stage with accommodating staff and comfortable surroundings. If you can, take the opportunity to see some hits here before they go to Broadway!
