Dear RV people: Arrived at 1256 and did not get parked until after 1430 because space 1-16 is used for overnight people and there is a full size palm tree in one side of the 12 wide concrete pad that removes two full feet of the concrete pad and on the other side are bushes and a raised concrete edging. So what you have is a 10 pad that you MUST make a 90 degree turn into because of the parking next to the building (ALL the cars must be removed for the tight turn.) Does your RV turn 90 degrees? (I asked the office if I could park my extra truck next to the building next to our parking area and they approved it. I guess the office does not know that it would block getting into my space 1-16.) And because every class A RV has mirrors out 18" next to the front of the RV that leaves about 8 of ramp to get into if the mirror is to miss the palm tree on the right. Its an absolute GOAT ROPE and I strongly suggest that when you call that you say you do NOT want spot 1-16 (its made for two RVs; spot 1 & 16 but is used for over night people with tow cars) Bottm line; stay away from this parking at all costs. Additionally, you must know that extra $$s are required for the electric; a real bummer. I really dislike places that charge "X" + electrical + this + that. As for the review that did not like highway noise; What did you expect from a park 1/4 mile from a major freeway? And if you did not notice that the RR line is next to the highway you just might need glasses. Did you think that the RR line would not be there after driving next to them for 300 miles? Fair warning:, Gus Beall

Feb 2015: Had a reservation for two weeks confirmed by letter at a specific rate. Apparently I was quoted the wrong rate. When I returned home in March I found the RV Park had charged me an additional $571.28. Nobody in the office had the courtesy or decency to inform me of their error or that they had arbitrarily charged my credit card another $500+. My credit card company was unable to reverse the charges. To fight these jerks Ill have to travel 1,200 miles and file a complaint in small claims court. As for the park itself, they put my new 25 ft trailer in an RV spot which was built to accommodate a much smaller rig and after parking my tow vehicle the spot wasnt big enough even for a small table. Additionally, they have a Gestapo mentality about vehicle parking and harass campers constantly because the park roads are too small and crowded. This place has nice pool and spa but they shut it down at 6 p.m. every day. If you deal with someone named Doris hang on to your wallet. They act dumb but they know how to take your money without you even knowing.

Pro: Nice Staff Cons: Do not pay at time of signing up in office to stay unless you are absolutely sure you don not have to leave. There are NO refunds, no matter what. We had to leave early and got gyped out of over $400. The web site picture is not even close to what the worn out park looks like in person. Extremely noisy with heavy traffic Hwy. 10, Jefferson St., airport nearby, train tracks nearby and ATVs on the surrounding sand dunes. We stayed here in our 5th wheel and would never come back again.

Hi Missy I’ve receive your new contract document and find it just too much of an agreement for rental of a RV parking space and to much for me to comprehend, it would require me hiring a lawyer to intrepid to insure I’m not giving away my first born. There is just too much onus but on the tenant and nothing on the owner. I have no intent in hiring a lawyer therefore will not be signing or initial your contract document. So please return my down payment of $500.00. Warn Regards. Rodney Workun

Caution! This park is not big rig friendly. The entrance to the park is narrow and hard to negoitate. We were in a 40 class A motorhome and arrived at the park from the north. While turning in we hit the right rear of our coach on short block wall which protrudes out in the entrance. If you are arriving at the park from the south the turn is a little easier. Better to go to one of the many other RV Parks in the area and avoid the narrow entrance to this park.

We love Shaddow Hills RV Park. We feel safe and secure. Everyone is friendly. There is a lot to do. Lemons from their trees are yummy. Every part of the park immaculately kept. Several areas have been upgraded or remodeled lately. We only wish they had not reduced the size of the main off leash doggie pen, since it was already quite small. Perhaps it will be mproved upon in the future. We are always happy to arrive and sad to leave, Shaddow Hills..

My husband and I stopped here intending to stay one night and were so happy with it we stayed four! It is a great facility, clean, quiet and friendly. I ended up in the hospital for a day and the staff were available to help my husband in any way they could. We would recommend this RV Resort and stay here again ourselves. P.S. I especially liked the daily garbage pickup at each site!

We had a great stay. We were traveling from LA to the grand canyon. Our initial plan was to visit Joshua tree but we found it to warm to have a stay without AC. We were the only visitors at the park and felt very welcome. Dawn baked delicious cookies for the five of us, the kids even got a goodie bag. Excellent pool. Thx Missy, Dawn and Henry for the hospitality.

Stayed here several times to and from Phoenix - Vancouver BC. Grounds are very well kept and the staff were cordial . Last time we were parked behind some long term folks who had diesel trucks and who left them running in the early hours of the morning which was annoying . Pool okay. Price was a little over the top for the facilities.

Shadow Hills RV Resort is one of the nicest, cleanest and most friendly RV Resorts I have ever stay at. I am an avid camper and travel a lot. I was treated like family. There are a lot of events happening all the time! I highly recommend this resort as someone who had a truly wonderful experience!

Stayed there the end of March. Very nice place to take the family. The facilities were very clean and the people were friendly. We wished we had a few more days to spare before we left. I would highly recommend.

Great RV and camping resort for Coachella festival goers. The bathrooms suck however, very over crowded and not of suitable size to cleanly and efficiently meet the demand during the festival
