I have used Mr. Aquarium for the better part of a decade! I have never had a single complaint about this store or the staff. Every visit to the store, I am greeted by friendly staff who have always been able to answer any question I have. The store and the tanks are always clean and well cared for. They have a large selection for any fish enthusiast needs. If they dont have what you need in store, they are happy to special order the item/fish, and always in a timely manner. The fish in stock are always healthy (I have never had any problems after getting them home either). At times I have seen a sick or injured fish in a tank, and when the staff was alerted, they immediately took action. The staff is always on the look out for sick fish, but its ultimately up to the buyer to be knowledgeable in identifying a healthy fish for purchase.(Do the research people, educate yourself before taking home a tiny life!) If by chance, your seemingly healthy fish ends up being ill when you take it home, they will do all they can to make it right. I will recommend this store to anyone I meet who is interested in keeping fish. They will always take the best care of you as a customer, and your fish and aquariums will flourish under their expert care and advice.

Spent well over $5000 on a 100 gallon saltwater setup and fish, as well as a nano cube tank and stand. The staff person offering advice gave bad information, and sold us a ridiculous setup that we did not want, based on our own extensive knowledge, but after continuously promising it was the latest, greatest equipment, we gave in. FAIL. The owner refused to work with us or apologize for bad employee advice, and, be warned, every single piece of equipment, live rock, etc., is now totally invalid and we were told by the owner, completely without value and we should pay them for hauling it all off (seriously), so flush. If youre looking to flush away $, this is the place to do it. Our friends went to Amarillo and bought a great saltwater setup at a much better price after this stores owner angered him, he took his business elsewhere and after wasting our $ without any offer to work with us, so will we. I do not recommend. Very disappointing experience.

Mr. Aquarium charged an ungodly amount each time they came to our office for maintenance on our office saltwater fish tank and it never looked good. They had a schedule to come out each week but never stuck to it. We always had to call to get someone to come out and it was always on their time table instead of the scheduled time. The coral was constantly hairy and the water cloudy. We also never got the same answer from anyone on what the problem was or the solution. We finally found someone else to handle the maintenance and when I called to let Mr. Aquarium know, they were not the least bit concerned. Such a shame that they are terrible at customer service or maintenance.

Great LFS! My family is afraid to move bc we know we will not find a fish store like this. Great selection of freshwater fish, weekly shipments and changing variety. Service is usually great, weekends they get slammed so you might have to wait you turn to get served. Puts petsmart or any corporate chain store to shame. My kids run around like crazy and they never mind :) most employees are pretty knowledgeable about the hobby.

Great saltwater and freshwater selections. None of the fish Ive bought there have ever come home sick. I got my Ocellaris Clowns, Ramshorn Snails, starfish, elephant snail, corals, and firefish there. All the fish I just mentioned are still in great health. Excellent staff advice as well.

I live in Clovis NM, and I buy all my fish from this store. If you tell them you live out of town they will dobbel bag the fish and put in a containter for you! (I have both fresh and salt water aquariums, and Im bought both from them). Very knowledgable people and great service!

i just love the store! sometimes i go there just to watch fishes. friendly service. they know what theyre doing. and they sell better and healthy fishes than Walmart and other aquarium stores in Lubbock. I dont think they are pricy at all. every product does worth the price.

Too expensive. Limited live product and supplies. Rude customer service. Sad this is Lubbocks very limited choice for saltwater aquarium hobbyists. Take advantage of good customers, unwilling to retain business. Love the hobby, hate the poor quality local source.

I love this store coming in as a beginner and not know a thing about fish tanks they gave me the knowledge with friendly associates and staff they will answer just about every question and if they dont know they will find out they are full of great advice

Best fish store in town. Beats the big chains by a mile. Kind and knowledgeable employees unlike the big chains. Bigger choice on fish and live plants. Great saltwater fish selection rivaled by its freshwater selection.

Every time Ive set foot in Mr Aquarium, Ive left more than happy. The help is knowledgeable and friendly, even when was a new customer they explained everything in detail. I will definitely never use anywhere else.

i went in here and got some fish but when i got home i realized they were starved and their stomachs were sunken in. went back and noticed a lot of fish looked like thats. bad quality for ridiculous pricing

I buy all of my clients fish at MR. AQUARIUM! All of the employees are great, and friendly! Lubbock doesnt need another saltwater/freshwater store when Mr. Aquarium has everything you could ever need.
