Wish I could vote less than a one star for this company. I have never had a worse experience with any company in my life, than I did with Folino Estate. I cannot say enough to STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENUE. I wish I would have seen a review like this before I booked here because it would have saved me a lot of time, money, stress, and energy. In this case, Im attempting to share this review anywhere to try to help at least one bride from making a huge mistake like I did. Wedding planning is supposed to be fun, because youre planning the best day of your life, but this company completely ruined it for me. The venue itself is very pretty, but in the event that it rains, the backup space is not. After all hidden fees, youll wind up spending over $25k at this venue (I planned for a little over 100 people). They charge extra for children, for young adults, etc. They have a $15k food and beverage minimum that if you dont reach, you need to pay out of pocket. There is no microphone for the ceremony, and no speaker system to use for when you walk down the aisle (more $$ for a DJ). In the event that your wedding may need to be moved, or cancelled, they will not refund one bit. That is the case for me. They are keeping over $10k from me just because they couldnt book another event on the date I had for my wedding. Not to mention, when I attended the restaurant for brunch, my food was cold and underwhelming. Also, the wine tasting is unimpressive and pricier than many surrounding vineyards. When I left a negative review on another website, Folino Estates attorney contacted my family threatening to pursue legal action for telling my honest opinion, as well as calling me "mean-spirited" and "immature". Save yourself the time, money, and stress, and book somewhere else, because you will regret it if you book here.

I set high expectations for this lovely restaurant with beautiful grounds and ambitious menu, and I really wanted to like it. Our lackluster fried risotto ball appetizer was followed by a wildly mediocre, mushy lasagna for me and mushy, very large gnocchi covered with some weird-tasting sauce for my husband. My daughters pizza was firmly in the "meh" category. I set my wine expectations low. The wine was surprisingly not awful (if i recall, we got a Cabernet Franc), but for the money, pretty much any non-PA Cab would still surpass it in taste. Still, it was a decent effort for a winery in this area. In the end, its a shame someone spent so much time and effort to build such a beautiful facility only to dish up overcooked pasta even Olive Garden wouldnt serve.

Very disappointed with our visit. Our party heard very good reviews about wine tastings at this establishment and decided to try this place out. Upon one of our group members trying to make a group reservation, they were told if we were intoxicated we would not be served for over a ten minutes conversation. This is when our party should have gotten our first clue not to come. Once we came for our tasting, we were told our tastings would be $10 instead of $5 we were told on the phone. This wouldnt have been an issue if we werent treated like we were the guilty party. Small wine tastings and a negative atmosphere left everyone wanting to leave quickly. I guess the customer is always wrong. Doubtful our guests or myself will be returning :(

This review is only for the restaurant and not for the actual winery or their wines. Went for brunch and was very disappointed. Ambiance is good but food was terrible and service was poor as well but friendly. Had the caprese Benedict and it was very bland, with almost no hollandeise sauce(had to ask for more) and the sauce tasted like mustard without any additional flavour. My wife had an odd mixture of pasta sauce and eggs and sausage and it was very bland as well. Not impressed and will definitely not go back. The only problem with service was that they mixed up drinks and then charged us for drinks we ordered but never got, however they were very apologetic and polite but did not make up for the worst eggs Benedict I have ever had.

We went there today after visiting the Rodale Institute. Our intention was wine tasting but were pleasantly surprised to find out they had a restaurant. We were not expecting to eat so only ordered the choose 5 appetizer and calamari. The cabernet sauvignon was one of the best weve ever had. The calamari was good but could have had a little more calamari and a little less greens. The bread was fresh and delicious and the choose 5 appetizer was great. The service was good and the ambiance was amazing. We dont mind dropping $54. For lunch when everything clicks. Kudos to Joey, our server. He was attentive and pleasant. We are definitely coming back for dinn

Folino exceeded our expectations. We went to celebrate my sisters upcoming wedding and were blown away. We started our day off with Sunday Brunch- which had amazing selections. Then we went to the wine-room and had an AMAZING experience. Jason was awesome. He made sure we were all happy, gave great recommendations, and made sure we were enjoying ourselves even after the tasting. The ambiance was just what I was looking for. This was our first time here and we cannot wait to come back in the future! Thank you for everything! Please thank Jason as well again!

Absolutely loved this place. I went there for wine tasting and lunch. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing and beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly. When doing the wine tasting portion the lady was very informative of the different wines and gave us great pairing options. She made out wine tasting experience a great one. The food was extremely good. Everything from the appetizers to the pizza to the wine and our waitress was amazing. Definitely recommend this place to anybody. Will definitely be visiting soon.

Nice spot. Off the beaten path. Cute wine gifts. Restaurant had a good menu but I wasnt overwhelmingly impressed with the food when it came. Wine is good for a PA wine, I prefer others. Wine tasting isnt as involved as some of the others ive seen. Its standing at a bar, no food options or packages like some other places. Could benefit from that in the future. The outdoor space looked enjoyable, but being as though it was November we werent outside. If youre up for a winery experience, give it a try.

Folino Estate should get two five star reviews: one for its tasting room where $5 covers 6 samples of their wines (out of 10-12 they are serving each day). The restaurant has a number of Tuscan inspired dishes that combine to provide the nicest fine dining in the Kutztown area. We had salads, the gnocchi and the pizza during the opening weekend. All were made fresh from quality ingredients, but the gnocchi stole the show. We will be back soon!

First time there we sat at the bar, One bartender female and a young new employee Maddie! Service was so so, the new employee Maddie was great running around trying to service everyone and personality! The main bartender girl Morgan, she seemed like she was I another world, lacks personality and zest ! Food awesome, ambiance awesome!! Bar so busy really needs help!
