Nothing compares to this! The atmosphere at this stadium located right downtown in Durham is better than most Big League parks Ive been to at a fraction of the cost. I was truly dismayed 20 years ago when I learned the old historic ball park that served as the back drop for "Bull Durham" was going to be abandoned. I didnt see any way the character of that charming old landmark could transfer to a new shiny stadium stuck right in the middle of a somewhat distressed industrial area, but I am thrilled to say I was way off base. Not only does the current stadium offer all the modern perks while keeping tradition on the forefront, but it has also served as a catalyst to drive the transformation of the immediate area into what is now a exciting, beautiful and fun place to visit even if your not going to a ball game. If you are a fan of a good baseball game in a fun filled environment that will not require you to take out a second mortgage to cover the cost, this is the best place in the United States to catch a game!

I have been going to Bulls games since they were at the old park. The DBAP is great, and improving all the time. This year, however, I had one huge issue. During one game, we got seats under the awning in the upper deck. The seats were new and soft...and TINY! I am plus sized, and I was incredibly uncomfortable. It was painful to sit there. Getting up and sitting down required some fancy squishing. Even the more average sized gentleman in front of us had a tight fit. The older seats are just fine, but the new seats should come with a warning. That aside, theres not a bad seat in the stadium. If you like the other aspects of going to a game, theres plenty to see and lots of between inning entertainment. And if you go for the baseball, the 2017 Minor League champs and farm team for the Tampa Bay Rays do not disappoint. With the famous bull and the hand operated scoreboard, this urban ball park has something for everyone.

Like baseball? Looking for an inexpensive way to treat the family? Then pack up the car and head on our to the DBAP. This ball park has plenty of parking and food venues nearby. You can usually walk up to the ticket booth and buy tickets the day of the game, buy tickets online, or look into getting season tickets or smaller mini packs. Whatever your preference, this is a fun day. No matter where you sit, youll have a great view of the field and the action. There are lots of choices, so mix it up each time, youll really enjoy the game. The venue is clean and the staff is friendly. The food and drinks inside are a little pricey so just be aware. Itll cost you a little more than your average movie theater visit. If you find a day when you need a break, you enjoy a nice baseball game, and your itching for a hotdog, head on over to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Youll have a great time.

Hands down, this is the best minor league ball park in America! All of the seats are close to the field and offer a great view. The location is fantastic (easy in/easy out) and you simply cant beat the roar of the crowd at a Durham Bulls game. With all of the buildings that have been built just past the outfield the past few years, the park now has an urban feel to it, much like the ball parks of past eras. The only concern would be the limited number of concession stands (though they are planning to remedy this between the 2013 and 2014 seasons). I recommend heading over to the main concession stand along the 3rd base line as it seems to move a little faster. Also, if you have kids, join the Jr. Bulls Kids Club. It is very affordable and each child gets a ticket to six games. Its a great way to spend the summer with your family!

This used to be one of my favorite Minor league ballparks. In the off-season the ballpark or team owners yielded to the new MLB commissioner and became one of the few ballparks to extend netting down both baselines to save on insurance money. One would think that this would make the fans safer but 2 fans (sitting behind netting) have been severely injured by foul balls in the first 4 games. The nets seem give fans an even more sense of false security to do anything but watch the game. At night, behind new nets you will NOT be able to track fly balls because of the glare and disgusting cobwebs on the nets. DBAP went from a world class ballpark to just above average IMO. Go Bulls!

Team made famous by the movie Bull Durham really exists! The Durham Bulls are the AAA affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. The park is cute and modeled after Fenway, with some of its own features like a giant smoke breathing red-eyed bull that comes to life when the Bulls hit a home run. The tickets are usually reasonably priced $9+, but the food and beverages are closer to big league prices ($7 beer, $4 hot dog) than Id like. Wool E. The Bull has fun and games to keep the kids and adults laughing between innings. The park has wifi and is overall a good family friendly destination. Their Star Wars night and Bark in the Park are especially popular.

Its an absolutely gorgeous park from the inside out. Ive been to several minor league parks in Florida, but I have to say I enjoy this one the best. There is a wide variety of foods and drink to choose from at decent prices (for a ballpark). I managed to get $5 knocked off my food purchase with my ticket that was purchased online, so Id suggest paying attention to promotions. Being a minor league park, just about every seat in the house is close to the action and sitting about 5 or 6 rows from the visitors dugout cost $21 a ticket. All-in-all it was a great experience and Ill definitely be going back next time I come to town.

Love the Bulls stadium. For a place this large and popular, the food and drinks are relatively inexpensive compared to other sports venues and concert theaters around the area. Even on rainy days when there may be delays, they will try to keep the game going so that everyone can see the Bulls play. Also, the fireworks show is one of the best fireworks displays around. Every time I go here, I feel like theres a strong sense of community. Durham is proud of the Bulls and the Bulls bring us together. Its a mutual relationship that I hope keeps Durham a fantastic city to live in for years to come. Go Bulls!

I have no patience for baseball. It bores me, relies too much on in-depth knowledge of the intricacies of players and statistics, and just moves too slow. Id much rather watch a baseball movie than go anywhere near a stadium or a televised game. That being said, I dont mind going to the Bulls park. Aside from the fact that everything is heinously expensive, they go out of their way to entertain. Since theres very little of interest happening in the game, they liven things up with little kids doing contests, and lots of stuff to do around the park itself.
