I was only 9 years old. I loved settlements so much, I was saving them all day. Every night I pray to settlers, "Settlements are love" I say "Settlements are life". Elder Maxson hears me and calls saving settlements a waste of time. I call him a synth. He expels me from the Brotherhood of Steel. Im crying now and I feel how my Pip Boy tells me all the quests I failed. I feel someone touch me, its Preston Garvey! He whispers to my ear, "Another settlement needs your help". He grabs my Pip Boy with his powerful minuteman arms and starts marking settlements on my map. It hurts, but I do it for settlements. Elder Maxson walks into my room and looks at Preston. "At least its not raining" says Preston and flies out of my window. "Settlements are love, Settlements are life".

A significant place in the history of the United States where a number of determined farmers stood their ground against the greatest empire in the world. Thus began the struggle for liberty and independence from the British Crown. The setting is beautiful and retains its rural nature where it is easy to imagine what it was like back in 1775. Not far from the Old North Bridge are other locations associated with the early stages of the Revolution. Take a walk on the Battle Road where the Brits, harassed by the colonials, sought to beat a hasty retreat back to Boston. Visit the Lexington Green where the embattled farmers first took their stand on that April morning in 1775. So much history to connect with here.

This was one of my favorite place to visit when I lived in MA. As you walk the battle road from Lexington to Concord you can feel the history of the Revolutionary war come alive. The park sits is the home of the site of the "old north bridge" where the American Militia stopped the British advance from Boston. Statues on both sides of the river commemorate the battle. Plan to spend some time here and in the surrounding area. Concord is one of my favorite New England towns with its many places to eat and shop. If you have time stop by the sleepy hollow cemetery where you can pay respects to the authors and poets "Thoreau, Alcott, hawthorn and Emerson" Overall a visit you will remember!

Pretty interesting historical sight. Location of the start of the Revolutionary War, in 1775, the colonists vs the British. Old North Bridge, provides awesome views of the fields and trails, across the park. Was so cool to see all of the different tourists. While visiting Boston, or Massachusetts, this site in Concord must not be missed. This historical site, however, I would not rate 5 stars, because there is not much to do around the Concord area, other than to wander around the sights. Could be better, but really enjoyed visiting for my first time! ;-)

Stretching from Concord and winding through Lexington, the Minute Man National Park, and the Battle Field Road Trail, are filled with history and beautiful scenery. Along with your way, youll see re-enactors Spring through Fall. Look at their website for more details. I happened upon one of the last weekends of Fall and witness a group firing rifles, spoke with a man posing as an innkeeper ... these people really get into their character and truly love their work. Its a great walk to Start in Concord and go through to Lexington.

Not only a nice park, in fact very nice, but given the historical events something we wont forget easily. The first shot fired at this particular bridge, imagining the situation starts to get breathtaking, once you see the old bridge, fearful, but determined soldiers and a lot of noise in front of your inner eye. Good place to sit outside and read or talk at the visitor center, by the way, when it is warm and not too hot.

This whole area is absolutely beautiful, full of old author houses, historical stairs, was and information. This started itself is definitely worth a walk to it over the bridge and beautiful River. The best party is the British gentleman in full regalia who is often on one side of the bridge Historic Concord with its many excellent cafes, shops and restaurants is literally a minute down the street.

Patriots Day (3rd Monday in April) is the biggest day for this park: the re-enactments start at 4:15 AM and basically go all day. It actually is kind of awesome to march with the soldiers at dawn, despite it being at dawn. Check it out! Get your history on! Its a lovely park other times of year, and you can learn about Revolutionary War things here any day. But Patriots Day! The best!

If youre into American revolutionary war history, this is a MUST visit and see. While in the area, you may want to visit the grave sites of Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Louisa May Alcott. They are buried in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord abouy 50 yards from each other atop of a ridge, in what is called "writers rowe".

"By the rude bridge that arched the flood To Aprils breeze their flag unfurled Here the embattled farmers stood And fired a shot heard round the world" Emerson The field and recreated bridge are there, much as they were back in 1775. Poem above is chiseled into the monument. Pleasant walk from the parking area.

Some guy called Preston kept talking about settlements which was annoying. Also saw some guy in a blue jumpsuit, he was weird. Weather was weird, oddly radioactive, and I saw an old woman who looked away with the fairies. Other than this though, it was a stellar experience.

First shot was fired here in the Revolutionary war.Every kid must visit to learn about the American history. I took my grandson Chethan here to educate him about the American history. It is a long walk and once you finish you get a sense of our history!

Forget the Liberty Ride, it is a rip off. Instead go to lexington green, minute man visitor center and north bridge. Park rangers talk for free. The liberty ride is $25/pp and is unorganized. Hit the above on your own. Fascinating.

this is one of the best national parks to stretch your feet. park at the visitor center at the top of the hill and walk down to the Old North Bridge cross the bridge. this is a must if your on summer vacation with the kids to visit.

If you are in the area, it is well worth your time. There is a 25 minute free movie at the Visitor Center and I highly recommend it. The walk or ride down the battle road is very good. I am glad I went and plan to visit again.

I love running here. Lots of people walking around on holidays, which is a little annoying to those of us who frequent the park for long runs, bike rides, and walks. But on the whole, its a great place to be, for everyone.

This is a very well kept historic location. Fairly short walk. Easy for families with little kids. There are bathrooms. For more information there is a visitor center with docents in the immediate area. Parking is ample.
