# these pics belong to the Danehy Park festival:i cannot believe everything was free. This was top of the line Carnival / Festival / Fair even in regards to if you had to pay. The feelings you got when you walk through and so the Patriotic fireman engines and with the crane with the American flag just made you feel so proud to be part of America but Cambridge. They had so many rides, face painting, huge kite flying area ,amazing and friendly Mexican singers. Way too much to mention and that I didnt get there earlier and I didnt know about this previous years. Thank you so much for those responsible for making this happen for us to enjoy connecting and enjoying such an amazing experience without profiting. Its amazing to me and Im very grateful to be born and raised in North Cambridge

My Children have been going to that park since theyre babies and my 4 kids also worked there through the Cambridge Rindge and Latin Summer Program. ....my eldest Son now ( 22)... Had his baby shower there on August 18, 2016. Now my daughter in law in takes my Granddaughter there. Clean, Quiet, Respectful Area. Id reccommend anyone to bring their children there

We are so lucky to have such a huge, well kept, multipurpose park in the middle of our neighborhoods. So many beautiful soccer and baseball fields, a track, a large dog run and lots of picnic spots. And sledding in the winter! (But watch out for the marsh!) Its always lively but rarely over crowded, and the community makes the best of it with many events.

Danehy Park is Cambridges best-kept secret. This great park has bike paths, jogging lanes, multiple sports field, playgrounds, and at least one stainless steel sculpture. There is literally nothing missing. Go to the top of the hill to see the sun set over west Cambridge.

This is the local park, it is very beautiful, and has many fields and tracks. Also there is a dog park. Most kids around Cambridge have practice and or hang out here so its mostly locals, I see many people I know often. Has to be one of the best local parks I know of.

Nice place for a walk although you might encounter an errant soccer ball with all the teams practicing. There is a fun fountain that little kids like to play around it. Pups have their own dog park. They also have benches with solar panels to recharge your phone.

Hills and hills filled with playgrounds, sunny athletic fields for all kinds of sports activities and various areas perfect for outings on a beautiful day. No shortage of picnic benches here! Also spacious enough to feel peaceful even with a lot of people there.

This place is kind of awful. Dog owners often dont watch their dogs, it smells, owners allow their dogs to gang up on other dogs. It can be a nightmare. Its not like this always, but it can be simply terrible.

I went here for the first time for the Cambridge Jazz festival, and I was very impressed. It is an enormous park with a lot of different features -- play structures, ball fields, walking trails and more.

Nice enough park; bigger than it looks at first, but not amazingly huge. Good place for biking or playing Pokemon Go, and has a ton of fields for sports, though those are usually in use.

I cant wait for them to open the new turf fields! They look amazing. One real downfall of this park, is that they lock one of the parking lots at sundown. Really? Whats the point?

Reminds me of Millennium Park in West Roxbury. You can forget you are in a busy industrial section of Cambridge and the elevated fields provide nice views of the city.

Has a bunch of fields that are great for running out. Unfortunately, during the summer, most of them are taken up much of the time by youth camps and other leagues.

Its a beautiful place to enjoy picnics grilling out walks with the family, taking kids to enjoy the parks, tracks to run around, great place to exercise & meditate

Its a big park with lots of facilities, but developed to the extent that it feels more like a sports stadium than a page where people can come to enjoy nature.
