They have architecture which proves that the old way was not the way of darkness and therefore the "new way" is only truly revolutionary when it come full circle. Revolutions are only good when they are full and come back to the dawn. Architecture speaks for itself. It cannot be denied. It does not simply interpret the world like painting, film, or photographys surface. It is not something you can put aside and live without. It is something you have to live in. Some of the half backed "newish" stuff that is performed in this theater is good for a good laugh. The "old" stuff in keeping with the truth present in the building itself points to God.

It is a great building with great art work on the walls. It is very relaxing with great accustics. The orchestra is below the stage. You can enjoy the show from anywhere you sit. The veiw is great from any angel you sit. I have been in this theater from the seventies with my high school to watch many shows. My favorite was and is the nutcracker. I was there about four months ago with my wife and my daughters. Every time I go to this theater I enjoy it. I highly recommend it to go with your family. You will enjoy it very much as I have for so many years.

The Boston Opera House is beautiful and Ive seen many shows there, most recently; Wicked. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Our seats were in the dress circle and were very comfortable. Weve been to the Colonial Theater and sat through numerous productions while jammed into tiny seats. These seats were much more comfortable and had plenty of leg room in front. My only problem was that there are not enough rest rooms. During a 15-20 minute intermission, I was unable to go to the ladies room. This doesnt make for a very pleasant ACT 2.

For the price of the tickets they should ensure they leave enough time for women to use the restroom during intermission. Seems silly, in this age of technology, to start a show when you have almost 100 women who did not make it back for the start of the second half, and that was only on our tier. Disappointed little girls had to wait out the first song. Not very classy of the Opera House Management. Holding the performance for 5 minutes would have allowed those who had to wait in very long lines the opportunity to see the show they paid for.

Beautiful Theater! If you love to go see shows and you live the same distance from Boston as you do from Providence then you should give this theater a chance because tickets are cheaper and its cheaper to park. I have seen many shows at this theater and it is very comparable to the Boston Opera House, the upper level seats are a little less comfortable but as you can see from the photos I posted there is plenty of beauty and ambiance still and great views. Very easy in and out, parking very close and not as expensive as Boston.

The building and atmosphere are amazing. I had an empty seat in front of me for the first act of Sleeping Beauty until some girl moved forward a few rows at intermission when her friend told her the seat in front of me was unoccupied. At which point I wished the seats were staggered more or on more of an incline. Im also unsure as to why I cant bring the Twizzlers I purchased in the lobby into the theater and eat during intermission, especially since they allow drinks in the theater.

So, I am a HUGE fan of the musical Wicked and when I learned it was coming nearby I became excited. I got up at 5:00 am to purchase tickets and I was not dissapointed. I got center dress circle third row seats and the view was unforgettable. You could see everything clearly and there was zero blockage in front of me. The sound was also crystal clear! If you can: GO TO THE BOSTON OPERA HOUSE!!

Saw "The Nutcracker" with my family and the BOH lives up to its reputation. It has established itself squarely in adding to the magic of holidays with a beautiful foyer and countless happy volunteers and art lovers that assist in getting you seated and getting the most out of the experience there. Going makes you feel like you are part of something very special.

I love coming to the Boston Opera House. So far my Son and I have seen Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Lion King, and Cinderella. The opera house is perfect in size and the seats are comfortable. The only complaint I have is that they sell overpriced concessions during intermission but the staff claim you cant eat in the auditorium. After you spend your money.

Everything was great ! But of course when its time to go to the bathroom... the lines were extremely long and you would have to wait a whole scene to go back to your seats you didnt make it back in time when intermission was over... while disappointed that we had to watch it on a blurry screen...

A Boston classic. Close parking across the street, although finding said street is a little dicey. Park at the Boston common for a short walk if you want to actually see the city. Beautiful inside of course and the acoustics are great. Touring Broadway shows are here all the time go see one!

The whole atmosphere is so exciting! It was just recently restored to its 1926 glory and it feels so grandiose when you walk into the opera hall. The Boston Ballet, which often performs here is extremely excellent and would consider them national class, and maybe even a world class company.

The Boston Opera House is a stunning and breathtaking theater located near Emerson College in Boston. The display of architecture inside the building is phenomenal. Saw the national touring company production of Wicked there. What a spectacular show. Will definitely be back in the future.

Beautiful building but lacks adequate facilities to service everyone during the intermission; there was still lines for the bathroom while staff announced that if you did not enter the shoe immediately you would not be allowed into the show for 10 minutes prior to the second act.

The Boston Opera House is gorgeous on the inside. It is also extremely large (much bigger than Broadway theaters). They allow you to bring beverages into the theater to enjoy the show. The selection of beverages are good. My only complaint was the clarity of voices spoken.

Gorgeous! However, our seats in the balcony were not good at all. Everyone in the balcony constantly has to move to try to see the stage. I stood in the back for the entire second act to be able to see. We wont be going back unless we can afford better seats.

Beautiful theater. Though my seats were high up, I still had a good view, until someone very tall sat in front of my. I had watch the first act only able to see half of the play. However, after intermission, I moved over to an empty seat, it was better.

Ive seen a few different shows here. The entrance is beautiful, and its located very conveniently downtown. I think that the decor really adds to the overall classic experience. Staff is knowledgeable and really wants to help you have a great night out.

This venue is classic and elegant. The sound carries well and you get a great view from almost any seat. The seats are well maintained and comfortable. You can easily sit in the less expensive seats and still have a great time with a great view.
