Very disappointed. I went to Half Note on a previous occasion and absolutely loved the food and atmosphere so I decided to invite my friends up to celebrate my Birthday at Half Note. My friends traveled 4 hours from VA and the 2 others traveled 3 hours from PA to visit Half Note to celebrate my Birthday. My friend who traveled from VA arrived to dinner before us and mistakenly gave the incorrect number of people who were going to be eating and enjoying the comedy show. This mistake in numbers was unbeknownst to me. When my other friends and I arrived the Host asked us if we knew where our party was and I said yes and walked over to where my friend was. It was very crowed so we had to sit with another group of people who we did not know. There was not enough chairs for all of us, however there was a women sitting alone at the table next to us so we politely asked if we could use the extra chair if no one was sitting there. She said we could use it because she came to enjoy the show alone. The waitress came and took our orders about 10 mins later a women came to our table and started counting us and said we were out of order because there was only supposed to be 6 people at a table and we had 7. We explained to her that the other two people were not in our party. She then tried to make it seem like we were being rude because we did not ask the Host for a chair. From listening to the women, it seemed like it was the Hosts job to walk us to the table, which never happened and hence why the lady is now talking sternly to us. The Hostess mistake some how became a huge mistake that we made, despite our communication with the women next to us if we could use the chair. The women made such a big deal about there not being a chair at the other table, although the women at the table did not need the chair. I told the women that my friends and I could leave if it was that big of a problem. I never in my life was treated so rudely over something that could easily been fixed. In fact the women who was sitting alone used the chair to put her feet on. Then the Host came to our table and said we were lucky there was an extra chair in the back and they took the chair and put it at the table where the women sitting alone was. All she did was put her feet back on the chair. Again, the women did not need the chair. This experience proved to be the most terrible Birthday I have ever had due to the HORRIBLE and RUDE service that was given towards me and my guests who traveled miles away to come to celebrate with me. If this establishment had followed their own protocol we would have known about the apparent strick chair rules and the host would have solved the problem. I guess the waitress didnt know about the strick chair rule because she never questioned us. The food was also not as good as the last time. My friends began to talk about other places that they had been were the food was better. I was completely embarrassed to bring my friends to Half Note, especially since they traveled from hours away to celebrate me.

Ok...here we go. I absolutely adore HalfNote Lounge and have frequented there several times with friends. There was a group of us (7 to be exact) that went on a Saturday evening for dinner and the live band. We "lucked" up and was placed with a brand new waitress who was less than a week on the job. In a jist, she definitely needs more training; very slow service, wrong food orders, food arriving at different times and several times she had to ask what we ordered. At the end of the meal she even came back and asked what each person had ordered again because she had not kept track. We were friendly to her but I dont have much patience and can admit to that, lol. Other than the service, the band was on and the decor was nice as well. The bathrooms were clean but initially there was one stall that wasnt working when we first arrived but I noticed it was fixed before we left. Great spot and I will be returning and hopefully Miss Thang steps her service game up...I believe in you honey! Oh and one thing to note, my friends and I always seem to be the youngest in the venue. Definitely an older, mature crowd here.

After hearing so many good things from friends and family about this establishment, my BFF and I set out for a night of dining fun! Little did we know that it would happen, only not at the half note lounge as they only had 2 two-top tables and REFUSED to seat us at their many open 4-top tables. Having never experienced this at other locations similar to the Half Note, we were disappointed that they would rather see money walk out the door never to return than accommodate potential new clients. I have not and will not recommend this location to my many family and friends as I truly believe that service is key and they did not deliver.

Had a absolute blast at my sisters BDAY party at HALF NOTE . I dont know what all the bashing here is but this is a grown mature crowd and any one under 40 would not understand the laid back setting. Food was great and music was a mix of thowback MD and DC. Our waitress kept the drinks flowing and the bottles popping. I guess some people here with there GR all cant be happy and must complain about something. So, yes if you go its always crowded and packed and food is awesome, with the LIVE BAND makes for a great night. So imo it was 5 stars for the music, staff, and cuisine.

It was ok before the security guard that will never be a police started to flex his self by discriminating against me. It was a table reserved which I understood but no one was there for the party yet so me and another women sat there who was at our party. He made me get up and allowed her to continue to sit there. So I waited to see if he was going to make her get up and he never did. So I took a pic of where I was sitting and rent a cop was standing and where the lady was sitting. I will never go again.

I was there this Saturday Oct 1, 2016 with Lyve Band. They were awesome. There range was crazy strong. The DJ was good also between sets. I arrived at 8 and left about 1230/1 and the band was still going strong. I had the braised short ribs and they were sooo tender. Sweet potato croquettes were a little sweet for me but I would definitely return and I was telling my friends about it when I left as Im from New Jersey. Oh as I left out the crowd seemed to be getting younger and the dresses shorter. JS.

For an all you can eat restaurant, I was very disappointed. You have 2 servers behind the food serving you and it took a long time to get your food. The majority of my time there was spent in a long line. I can understand for the omelette station and the waffle station to have someone assisting you but the regular food? It did not make for a smooth eating experience for me. If, someone I know has another gathering here Ill come but to come on my own, I will not.
