I took the family here to do some fishing. It was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. There is plenty of shade and benches to sit on, which was nice on a hot day. Pond was nice and fairly clean for a public pond. There are decent sized fish in the pond which was a nice surprise. There is a nice playground next to the pond for when the kids got bored. We did not go by the swimming pool area. Only negatives were the trash cans were full and overflowing and as more people showed up to swim, several of the families got really loud in the parking lot using language not appropriate for a family park. We will go back, but only early in the day before the ghetto crowd arrives.

Self compacting trash bins are available so theres no excuse for a messy Park. Its great knowing they have enough area for the children to play and they have Grill areas and shelters. In the summer they have a water park / pool area. There is a nice Trail and a small Lake where you can fish with catch and release and feed the Ducks.

The slide has been closed since the beginning of the season because the liner is torn on the bottom of the pool where the slides ends. I just found out today that they will not fix the liner for the pool until the pool closes for the year.

I go for the exercise. The girls are great instructors. Ive never been disappointed with the Indy in motion classes. The water aerobic class in the p.m. is a great workout as well. Plenty of variety there to get moving.

I have a special love for this park since Ive gone to it since I was a kid. Its a bit worn down and people tend not to pick up after themselves but it have a lot of great qualities to it.

Park is pretty nice, big swimming pool, walking trails, basketball court. IF people would stop throwing trash in the lake and pick up after themselves this would be a lot nicer!!!
