Dont go HERE!!! I walked in to see what they had to offer with my wife and two small children and instead of trying to help us they decided to have some weird Asian guy in a blue "Golden Aquarium" shirt follow us around. He didnt even ask us if we needed help. The guy was just creeping behind us as if making sure we werent stealing!!! Whenever I would turn around to look at the creep, he would turn away. As a good Christian, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and didnt ask as to why he was following us, thinking maybe he was trying to help us...I was dead wrong! As we were leaving, I decided to ask the creepy Asian man a question....He didnt even speak English!!! He couldnt help me if he actually wanted to. Simply put, these guys are prejudiced. Save yourself the embarrassment and aggravation and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!

I started going to this store shortly after I purchased my first aquarium. They always provided good advice, did not try to oversell me, and went to great extend to ensure they did what they could to keep my fish and coral alife, being new to the hobby as I was. They moved stores, and they are in Ashland now. They are very nice, and I have gone to the ship over a dozen times this past year. The other negative review I dont understand. They have some friends that help them when they are busy, and maybe one of them was alone on the store when the other gentlemen walked in with this family. I never had that problem, and he should give the store another chance.

This is a great place! They are really helpful!, they explain everything in detail! What can I say, they have a GREAT collection of plants and fish! Im more into plants, and I learnt a lot from them! They have everything (CO2 tanks, regulators, plant fertilizers, bubble counters, so on..) :-). I was visiting Chicago, had extra time and decided to visit the place, time well spent!! bought some plants and fertilizers, and would definitely recommend the place! Im sure I will visit them again!

Wonderful place to shop what you need for your aquarium. The staff was very friendly. My tank was still in nitrogen cycle, so I really just came in to check out the store. One of the staff, chat me through the whole tour and I end up buying a nice little bush of Riccia for my tank (always been a plastic deco person, so switching to something new is always welcome I say), cant wait to go back and grab my favorite guppies.

I had an excellent experience at this store recently. They had the plant species I was looking for, had advice to offer about species that would go well with it, etc. Other places in Chicago gave me the run around and had poor quality products. This place was truly different.

I love how if you have any ? They will answer you I bought an angle fish and asked info on it they gave me so much information I got tierd of hereing them talk love this store . First time I came here I was almost in here for 2 hr . Very amazing things

Great selection and staff. The go to place for anyone looking for good prices and friebsly, knowledgeable staff. Girl named Kat works there who can help you out with water parameters. Testing and dosing plus medicating. Very smart woman.

The fishes here were really nice! BUT the service wasnt, i felt as if one of the workers was just trying to rush me out.. I didnt feel comfortable asking him all the questions I wanted to and he made me feel very intimidated.
