Wish there were more photos of Tropical Park when it was a horse race track. My father was the paint contractor from 1963 till it closed in 1972 and then went up to Calder Race Track. I worked there part time during the summers and time when not in school. Brings back so many wonderful memories in the springtime of my life.Everyone I worked with as well as my parents are gone now so there are only memories. Now I am in the late fall, I hope, and often think of these times. There used to be some very LARGE bass in the lake.Think a friend of mine caught an 10 ponder on day.Maybe I will stop by if I go to my 50 year Coral Park high school reunion in four more years.

This is a very open park. For those of you NE coast visitors, you will really enjoy the Central Park feel of this place. Tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball diamond fields, boat launches( though hours are conflicting), sea kayak rentals during the week...BBQ grills for festivities are vastly abundant...and if you just feel like you want to be with your group, alone, uninterrupted, this is by far the best park in NE Miami...hands down....check it out!

This is one of Miamis nicest parks; large and directly on the water. Theres lots of space for different activities such as BBQ places, a soccer and baseball field and of course fairly long ways to walk or exercise. The only downside of this park is the littering by people. Sadly theres plenty of trash out there on the shore and people seem not to care too much. I hope the city will improve this with more trash cans and signs in order to educate people.

Ive been going to this park at least once a week for 4 years. Its very nice if you just want to sit down somewhere and relax. Theres a playground for little children and they have an after-school service for kids 6-13. I volunteered at their summer camp and it was a wonderful experience. They had park-wide activity from dodgeball to kayaking in the bay. A very pleasant experience.

Lushly park! I feel very safe going there to walk alone and when I go jogging. Very clean and well kept. A hidden gem located off of the hustle and bustle known as Biscayne. Best part is that it is guarded by a guard house. It has all of the amenities that you would look for. I love how you can rent a kayak or even a sailboat for super cheap. Enjoy. ****

Un parque frente a la bahia, con vista al downtown, en una zona semi privada, con arboles, bancas, asadores y piscina. Para pasar un excelente dia en familia.

Perfect place to walk, run, exercise, meditation, bbq, chill out, dog walking, play soccer, American football, baseball, tennis, kayaking, small and cozy park for children and there is even a place to put your boat in to the water and pull out. Free parking lot. Beautiful nature. Also Miami county is taking very good care of the park. Nice and clean...

The pool is only open in the summer and only for kids. The public and Morningside residents can only use the pool from 3 to 5 PM. Most public pools allow an early morning window for adults to be able to use the pool and swim laps. From 3 to 5 PM the pool is full of people and there are no lap lanes. Disaster.

One of the best parks in North Dade. Amazing view of the bay and tons of space to roam around and exercise by yourself, with a pet, or with friends and family. Theres a pool, basketball courts, baseball field, tennis courts, and picnic areas as well. Tons of shaded areas too.

Its a gorgeous hike me and my buddy (dog) went on a long hike plenty of off leash trails, moderate level trail not too strenuous and not that easy either. I saw quite a few wild animals along the trails....Nature, views and overall ambience is terrific, love this park.

Great park! Slightly complicated to get to but worth the drive. Its beautifully landscaped with plenty of parking and seating either in the sun or shade. Great place to just hang with some family or friends. Its usually not crowded which is nice.

A small park located inside a quiet neighborhood, ideal for walkers, pet owners and people who play soccer, tennis, softball and basketball. It features a boat ramp and a swimming pool, a playground and a couple of barbecue stations.
