We were visiting Fort Myers on vacation. We had a lazy day and saw an ad for the bowling lanes on TV. We decided that instead of hanging out at the house, we would go bowling and then head to dinner. We went to Gator Lanes, not knowing what to expect. It is a smaller bowling facility, compared to some of the newer places, but that adds to its charm. The lanes and the floor appear to be brand new. Like the other review says, the scoring system is dated, but it didnt take away from the experience. It certainly beats trying to keep score by hand! The shoes werent yucky, like you might find at some facilities. I didnt feel like I was wearing a pair of shoes that had seen a thousand pairs of feet. Overall, we had a blast! As we are not die hard bowlers, nor are we picky about little things, we would definitely go there again. Give it a try!

I have to disagree with some of the other reviewers saying that the place was in bad condition. I went there with my wife and parents after seeing an ad on TV. (Were visiting from Pittsburgh.) I was nervous after seeing these reviews, but found the place to be quite nice instead. When you first walk in, the setting feels somewhat "dated." But the floor and lanes were in brand-new condition. The scoring system was very old, but who cares? It worked fine and we had a great experience. When I bowled a turkey, it threw up a turkey picture to mark the accomplishment. All in all, it was great fun and the prices were very reasonable. If youre a snob who demands pristine conditions to have a good time, stay away. If youre looking for a good time bowling, this is a great place for it.

Disgusting! Had bugs in my drink, asked for another drink and got it back with a bug at the bottom. My friend had a bug in his drink also. Cheesesteak without onions came with tons of onions on it & the sandwich didnt smell fresh at all. My chicken quessadilla was salty and I didnt feel comfortable finishing it after the incidents with bugs. I went home and my stomach was killing me & I felt nauseous. I do not recommended this place and I dont see Where it is nice & clean like the previous reviews.

I took my boys to go bowling and we had a horrible experience. I felt the prices were very high. The lane we were on kept breaking down/miscroing. We bought some snacks from the vending machine and they were one month expired. We did get our money back. Since we were still hungry we decided to grab some food from the kitchen. I decided against that when I saw a RAT run across the kitchen floor. All in all it was a horrible experience and I would never go back or tell my friends to go there.

Depends on what your looking for. For a better bowler the pins are dead *no pin action* needs some work done on the pin decks and side walls. Lanes were Flooded. Approaches need refinished, but not bad...Prices are definitely high. The appearance is good..Looks like fun for the kids, lanes appear to be in fair condition. The cleanliness was good. Alot, of renovating going on. If you are out to have fun and just roll some balls get ready for a high price in a fair place.

Love this place! I come out here every other Tuesday for $2 bowling. My friends and I always order food and drinks and always enjoy ourselves at this establishment. Staff is always friendly and courteous and I feel that this place is even a better deal than Head Pinz. Reduced one star for the food being consistently average. It is bar food though.

I was a little hesitant to go based on some of the reviews here, but I found them to be off the mark. I gave it three stars, which is "average", which is the perfect description. Its very similar to other lanes both in quality of lanes and price. If youre looking for a bowling alley and this one is nearby, go!

Worst bowling experience Ive had. Lanes were dirty and I kept slipping. The alleys malfunction alot and the staff did not seem concerned at all about the conditions. It was an overall terrible experience. If you want the best bowling experience I would recommend looking elsewhere.

They have a bowling special on Thursdays that my friends and enjoy going to. $20 for unlimited bowling, pizza and drinks. I also particularly enjoy the bar staff, and occasionally stop by for casual drinks with my friends even without bowling.

Went there last week, was given a lane at the end of the alley which had pins in the gutters. Right near an exit where an employee kept walking to the back with an open bottle of bud light. Cheap bowling, but thats really it.

Great drink specials, fun staff and the food is good. I dont know what experiences people are complaining about, but I enjoy the karaoke and regulars on friday. Good times, show up when it the evening , for a great time.

Crappy little bowling alley. Good beer prices, but the bowling is pretty expensive for lanes that look like they have seen artillery fire. Overall it was a serviceable place, but it is not nice by any means.

They really did good with some of the remodeling. I just wish they had a little bit of a better music Playlist. Rather than that love bowling there every tuesday !

Lane shut down in the middle of the game and all they said was sorry...didnt fix anything, didnt offer any compensation...wont be coming back

Terrible service, the floors are super slippery and slipped and fell! Never again, worst bowling experience. Asked for a refund!

disgusting. lanes are curved, lights were off at noon on a monday. vip section couches are very destroyed and the food is awful.
