I just hate Union stations Chipotle!!! I usually go to the one on Rhode island station CHIPOTLE but i decided to stop at this one on my way home...big mistake!!! I got 2 burritos for me and my husband get home they are beyond salty we both took a bite ended up spitting it out picking out the onions and peppers and fed it to the dogs. This is when this get interesting call store phone..some1 picks up laughing "Oh hello"....lol...i dont know about u but the customer service was a wee bit weak!!!...then after waiting to speak to a manager for 10 mins i hung up called back....i told her i had just called and waited for a manager....she got on the phone very very apologetic said she would replace my order if i wanted to come back tomorrow....Me and the hubby ate pizza that night. This is when things got me upset i returned the other day and placed my order at the register told her my name and that the manager from yesterday wrote it down so i can get my order replaced and sorry for the inconvenience. She called over a manager and this woman was rude!!!....this woman came over and said wait i have to call her i said ok..i moved my food to the table and waited ...she came back and said ooo i can only replace one not 2 i said well u made 2 and i ordered to yesterday why would there be a problem....i hate making problems in resturants for obivous reasons and know how hard it is for managers...but if she was the atleast nice to me i wouldve let it go and paid ...but no she was rude and proceeded to talk in spanish to the cashier in front of me...funny thing lady im black and puertorican...sooo after i gave her back 1 of the burritos (that she had or hopefully threw in the garbage because my husband definitly picked off off of both) I asked for my receipt cashier told me she couldnt give it to me...and asked if she could make a copy and ill wait she said no....then called over her manager who again started speaking spanish telling her to just give me any receipt soo i could go away....after she handed me a folded chicken bowl receipt...i was baffled that she was ignorant and rude to this extent i told her please give me my receipt she the manager walked over gave me my receipt and told me to leave .....i absolutely hate this place!!! I dont mind terrible customer service and great food i dont mind exceptional customer service and terrible food....but i hate terrible customer service and terrible food....how can u be terrible at both??????

Ive arrived at this station via WMATA, Amtrak (via Acela Express), and Megabus before and arriving here was pretty welcoming. Even with so many modes of transportation it serves and how many transport services are offered, its amazing how so much happens in a moment at this station. As for departures, Ive used this station to depart via Megabus, WMATA, MARC, and VRE. While all departures were smooth, my friend and I did manage to hit a bit of trouble when it came to doing what many other systems consider the simplest thing - purchasing tickets for MARC. (It did sound very simple, didnt it?) Purchasing tickets shouldnt be difficult to do… nor should it be difficult to find to begin. There werent any signs, nor were there any people to direct people to MARC trains. No one told us that there werent MARC-branded machines to purchase tickets and that MARC tickets would have to be purchased through Amtraks Quik-Trak Ticketing Kiosks. Knowing that and Amtrak, a first time traveler on MARC would think theyd be buying Amtrak tickets on an Amtrak Quik-Trak kiosk, right? Just a slight change and I think were all good, right? Some signage would be great.

We had the pleasure of traveling your train for our entire trip, coming to Union Station in D.C. three times. The first time we met a Red Cap that was wonderful. He really took us under his wing and made sure each time we were in the station that we were where we were supposed to be and at that time. Upon our arrival, the first time, he helped us secure our Big Red Bus passes that made our stay in D.C. so easy. His name is Douglas Mitchell and we felt blessed to get him the first time and be able to have his guidance each time after. You are so fortunate to have him at your D.C. station. What a great ambassador for the Red Caps there. Hope other travelers will try to find him as he is extremely thoughtful and pays attention to detail. He will make sure you have the information you need to make your stay in Washington or your continued trip easier. Thanks Mitchell!! When we come back, and we will, we will look for you again. Thanks Amtrak for having Douglas Mitchell there to make our first train travel experience great.

I travel to and from from the Union Station every week and I think its one of the nicer stations in the US! I really like Union Station; or at least, the places that I haunt in Union Station. Note that the station is enormous: some parts of it are gorgeous, like the fountains and statues near the entrance, others are cozy and welcoming and great to work, like the coffee-shop corner (LPQ, Au Bon Pain etc.). And then there is the place in Union Station that I avoid - the downstairs level with the food-places - very seedy, dingy, and unfriendly. If you want food, youre better off sticking to the slightly nicer selection of places at the Amtrak level (you have options such as Roti Mediterranean Grill, Shake Shack, Potbellys, Chopt). My favorite place to sit down and get some work done is the Le Pan Quotidien. It has free Wi-Fi, good service, and is quiet and cosy. I highly recommend it if you have to kill some time before getting onto your train/bus.

Its a lovely place to stop by, even if youre not taking the train anywhere. Akin to New Yorks Grand Central Terminal, the main area is a great place to get that awesome family photo or the like. Dont just take that picture and leave. Absolutely make sure to go through to the next corridor where youll see 3 levels of shops and wonderful architecture. The lower level is a large cafeteria area with all the normal takeout fare, along with a few local one-offs. If you continue through to the next corridor youll get to see the ticketing and boarding areas along with a few more shops and dining options. Its a cute and quaint feel, given that its quite a substantial size travel hub. Bon Voyage!

I like this theater, but I had to stop going, because the last few movies I saw at this location I was miserable. Unfortunately, I guess the adults with kids would bring infants (babies) that screamed throughout the movie, toddlers were allowed to run up and down the isles LOUDLY and unfortunately too many people talking, talking back to the screen and taking CELL PHONE CALLS! What a waste, because the theater, food stand, movie selections, etc. were great! I know go to Gallery Place, Georgetown, E Street and have NONE of these issues. Those theaters are managed very well! OH and as the other reviewer said this theater is not an AMC theater any more. Its now a Phoenix Theater
