We were looking forward to a late summer meal on the patio. It was extremely disappointing. Started well with a yummy asparagus and burrata salad. The entrees were a major let down. The short ribs were served with a polenta that was like cardboard and seemed to be premade. The "lamb porterhouse" was three lamb chops that were undercooked, flavorless and sinewy. The potatoes were fair at best and the salad was soggy iceberg and soggy tomato with what tasted like a bottled dressing. At $30 for the entree it was a major let down. To top it off the staff could not wait to get us out of there. We were two couples with one more that joined us for an after dinner drink. The staff cleared all the outdoor tables and tilted the chairs in, then came by about 5 times to see if we were done. At 830 they threw a bucket of water on the outdoor fire, another hint that we should wrap it up. We could see them watching us from inside, waiting for us to leave. We finally left just before 10 while being glared at. That doesnt seem to be an unreasonable time for a place that is not only an Inn but has a jazz club that runs late night. Keep in mind this was a Friday night to boot!

An elegant respite halfway on our trip from Gettysburg to Cape Cod...gorgeous grounds, beautiful little room overlooking the patio! Heavenly menu, wine, service. gregarious bartender and desk people, and great breakfast and friendly service. The only odd thing was...we were apparently the only guests in the inn, and no desk person or other help are there overnight! We were a little unnerved by this....but an amazing place.....I cant wait to get back!!! Next time, well try to arrive on a Jazz night!

I was fortunate enough to have my wedding at Old Lyme Inn on September 6th and I couldnt be happier as to how it went.We had 40 guests with a cocktail hour, the ceremony, then formal dinner. Elisa, the event coordinator was excellent and her expertise ensured a perfect event! The food was outstanding from appetizers, to entree, to desserts. My guests were treated royally and had absolutely nothing negative to say about our evening there. I wholeheartedly recommend booking the Inn for your venue.

The hotel is really cute, however when we arrived it was closed and the Inn looked like it was shut down for the weekend. It turned out we were the only people staying the night, which made it a little uncomfortable. The restaurant they show on the website was closed, no jazz player, bar was not opened and we paid a premium price to just sleep. They should of called to tell me the restaurant and bar would not be opened.

the renovation does indeed smarten up the place and I have enjoyed several times the jazz in the side room but the menu keeps me from coming back more often. I like the idea of a kale ceasar and as I pointed out to the waitress the kale was wilted, but she insisted it was fresh. Oh well she did insist and what in heck makes you think that $ 16 burger is worth the price? $ 16 for a run of the mill burger. yikes

Every staff member at the inn was so attentive and amazing, especially Ashley in housekeeping, Justin in the kitchen, and Jack the bartender. The food was great and the rooms were beautiful. My only complaint is the matress we slept on felt like a rock. That wasnt as pleasant.

Trevligt B&B med en härlig uteplats, mycket parkering och trevlig personal. Rummen är dock något utdaterad.

I stayed overnight here after a wedding. We needed one extra bed and the staff easily provided us with one. The room is really cozy and the shower is good too. The breakfast is nice with an assortment of tea.

The food was very good, and they brought cookie dough where our little daughter could press out cookies and sprinkle them with choccolate. She then got the baked cookie as a dessert.

Expensive with amateur service. Our waitress could not even pronounce the specials never mind have any knowledge of the set up. Food is mediocre and prices are out of site.

Great food and awesome service. Had brunch and I loved the scrambled eggs with smoked gouda cheese and chives. I need to figure out how to make that!
