As a native of the south west side of Colorado Springs, I love how they have kept up Acacia Park. I can remember playing in the Uncle Wilber fountain as a child, so walking around the bazzar in the park and watching the kids play brought back all those memories. My mom and I walked through the park intent on finding a light lunch. We were not disappointed. A cookie from bellas bakery stand, a smoothie from DOPE smoothies, and a chicken rosemary pie from Mountain Pie Co. made for a perfect meal. Great long-standing spots like Acacia park are the reason I stay in the area.

Acacia Park has alot to offer. From its outdoor playground, public games area by the visitors center (you can check out shuffleboard equipment and a variety of other game equipment), cool off at Uncle Wilber (a kids water amusement), or just sit and chill out in the shade of the huge trees. They are always having something going on such as a farmers market on Sundays, or some other event (last weekend they had a par cor competition). Since the police have put in cameras and cleared out the homeless, Acacia Park is a wonderful place to be.

THE place for Pokemon GO!! Especially if you need a ton of pokestops in a very brief and aromatic distance. Excellent location for younger children to play (adorable playground provided) and the IN spot to take a stand on some of the nations most known political and societal issues (i.e. Occupy). Artistic and well maintained and the diversity of reality is also a real eye opener as the lowest on the socioeconomic ladder mingle and stroll alongside the cities highest rungs.

Centrally located in downtown Colorado Springs, Acacia Park gives a nice introduction to this beautiful city with lots of wonderful trees and a gorgeous walk viewing the front range with a greeting from Pikes Peak. A short distance will take you to the library, city and Greyhound buses, a multitude of churches and restaurants and shops, entertainment of all types and a slew of bars and dispensaries. Enjoy your stay - enjoy Colorado! : )-

Growing up it was dubbed more of a place you didnt want to go because of "all the pot smokers and druggies" but the city has really REALLY cleaned it up.. they have uncle wilbers fountain so thats nice for younger kids in the summer. Also in summer months they have kind of like a farmers market type thing.. im exactly sure what days and times. They have a pretty nice play ground too.

We go here mostly for the wonderful water feature warmly named Uncle Wilbur. The fountain is a whimsical moving water spray, that plays a song and animates every hour. When not in motion it closes to a dome and water jets out from the ground around it. There is a small stage in the park and in the winter an ice skating rink. All of this in beautiful downtown Colorado Springs!

Very disturbing experience -- people and their personal belongings sprawled out on the grass, I saw a cat on a leash tied to a tattered person lying in a dirty sleeping bag, even the visitor center has a huge fence around it to protect its employees. Its not clear how the authorities allow such a situation to persist -- a public park is basically inaccessible to the public.

This park sits in a fantastic location right in the heart of the city center. Ive eaten lunch with friends there many times. In the summertime, I would probably hang out there more but theyre quite a few sketchy individuals around the park. In the wintertime the park has a fun skating rink and a huge Christmas tree.

Its a public park. Best to keep expectations low and be happily surprised. The park occasionally hosts events and farmers markets, which actually is a lot of fun. There is also a fantastic Portland-style tiny home coffee shop serving third-wave coffee on the southern side of the park. Great, great coffee.

I never knew how many activities they have at Acacia Park! You can check out the Uncle Wilbur fountain, play on the playground, or play chess on a big chessboard with 2 tall pieces. And there are food/craft/art fairs going on all the time. What a beautiful piece of downtown Colorado Springs!

Its a nice park with lots of room for activities. Its also close to a lot of restaurants so you can eat before or after you go to the park. Sometimes they have events like this one thing where a bunch of local businesses set up booths and give away trinkets. My son lost a cell phone here once.

This park is in the very heart of downtown. In the summer you can bring your kiddos to a fountain and in the winter youll find an ice rink. There is even a stage where live performances can be seen regularly. Acacia Park is a wonderful addition to the monotony of buildings erected around it.

I have mixed feelings, but I still mostly like Acacia Park. The downside can be the large numbers of homeless folks that tend to congregate, especially after dark... but the upside is almost everything else. I think this place is genuinely nice during the summertime.

Went for ice skating. I wear size 10 and the closest they could get me was size 12. Then the snot nosed little brat behind the counter gave me grief about getting a refund. Got to watch the rest of my family skate while I stood by the side watching. Bummer town.

Beautiful park, centrally located, however Im very upset with the sitting ban that has taken affect. I also wish the fountain was running more, as I seem to only catch it running half the times I visit. Some live music would be lovely, even if they are buskers.

Colorado Springs seams to have a pretty serious problem with homeless residents and this park is a clear example of that. Many of them are rude and aggressive, more so than average. Some of course are fine but overall its not a very welcoming environment.

More things going on here in the summer like free shows and farmer type market. There was an ice rink last winter. Dont miss uncle Wilbur water show. There can be homeless ppl hanging around but never been bothered with begging or any issues with them.

Lots of homeless people hanging around and yelling crap at people walking by. I see it literally every time I go downtown. The homeless and drug adicts ruin what could be a nice downtown area. The city needs to do something about it.

Its a beautiful park, great views and food nearby. Biggest downfall: Obscene amounts of homeless people. :/ Some are quiet and keep to themselves, others are not afraid to ask every passerby for spare change, cigarettes, or weed.

This is a great park located on the northern end of downtown Colorado Springs. In the summer there is a water sprinkler playground for the kids to play in. It is located next to tons of great local restaurants as well.

The bathroom situation is horrible... Never a convenient opportunity to use facilities... Opens too late and cleans at off times... Leaf blowers blow for hours in same spot... Not working but annoying the patrons...

Beautiful and lively park with great events and fun things to do. The water park is unique and amazing, the life size chess is fun, and a decent playground. In general a lot of greatness in a little space.
