I had a great playing this course for the first time. I had been coming here to use the practice facilities for while and always enjoyed it. But now I finally played the course and loved it.. Its a beautiful course and very well maintained, with long but forgiving fairways which are all lined with mature trees. The greens were in great shape, and not overly fast and/or undulating - just enough to give challenging putting. The main challenge of the course is, not only does it have some very long par 4s, but if you miss the greens, there are always two or three bunkers around the green, but more importantly the grass surrounding the greens this thick and tall, so you better practice pitching in thick grass, or your scores will balloon. The rates are reasonable, and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and it was well marshalled, and it had "pace of play" signs, which is much needed in some cases. Another nice touch that is kind of fun is that the carts are all named after Air Force planes through history - F-20, A-10, P-47, etc. I highly recommend Mather golf course.

This is an older classic designed course with mature trees on each side for many of the holes. Its long but most holes have wide enough fairways to make it playable for golfers of all skill levels. Even though it helped ruin my score the last time I played here, I really like the challenging par 3 which is hole number 11. You must hit it over a lake right in the middle of the fairway and also make it over the bunkers in front of the green. One of the best holes on the course in my opinion.

I have been going there for over 10 years and I am officially done with this place. Not taken care of, aging equipment and a course that leaves you lacking. I would recommend one of the surrounding courses such as Wild Hawk Golf Course or Bartley Cavanaugh.

Flat, not very well maintained when I played there. Dry patches og grass in the fairway, a few weedy spots etc. here & there, a little shoddy on the greens, and ball marks on them from the previous players that didnt have the decency to repair them.

Great black Friday deals on golf clothing! Unfortunately Friday was considered a holiday for golfing, so couldnt use my good discount, but the sale on golf stuff was worth the trip and the salesperson was really nice!

I enjoy the long drives on pretty much every hole. I enjoy coming here to drive the ball long with forgiving fairways. I recommend!

Not maintained as well as it should be. Fairways are soggy and long. The greens are nice and true though.
