When you arrive at Indian Pines in Opelika, Alabama, the first thing that you will notice is how green and well-manicured the course looks from the road (summer time and late fall). They have their own lake to draw from which is a huge plus. During the week it is only $20 to ride 18 holes. They even have an island Par 3. Weekend rates jump up to around $36. Very nice clubhouse with Pro-Line equipment and clothing. All in all, I would rate Indian Pines a 7.5 out of 10. If you are in the area and are looking for some good golf at a reasonable price, give Indian Pines a try. Auburn and Opelika share 8 golf courses between them and were voted top place to play golf by Golf Digest in around 2006 I believe.

This course is in terrible condition. There are divots showering the fairways, and the greens are in horrible condition for this time of year. The people that go to this course are very inexperienced and do not know golf etiquette. As a single I had to wait on every hole, even playing 3 golf balls. The rude gentleman in the clubhouse refused to give me a rain check for 9 holes after I skipped the last 3 holes on the front 9. I would SERIOUSLY reconsider going here. If you want a nice course, go to RTJ.
