Has the potential to be a nice course if it were better taken care of. Played yesterday and while we made the best of it, the course conditions convinced us to not return. We regularly play at Suntides and Westwood which are both night and day better courses to play. I will start with my positive opinions first, but the negatives really need to be worked on before I consider returning. The staff and players here seemed really friendly, and the group ahead of us let our two join in for a round which is always a plus. I enjoy playing with another group to make a full party of 4 versus playing alone or with my normal golf buddy. I really enjoyed playing the 2 par 3s over the lake, which make for a challenge on the side of accuracy and club choicing especially with a nasty cross wind. The second of the 2 have a nice backstop giving a great aim point for bouncing back onto the green. The atmosphere here feels more laid back than on some of the other courses where as a walker we can feel rushed by groups behind us in carts. On to the negatives though. The fairways are all torn apart. Not a few spots here and there, but massive streaks of dirt gouges directly down the entire fairway on every hole. The greens are extremely slow. It almost felt like I was putting on a normal fairway and the ball just would not go without absolutely smashing it. The greens are also not maintained very well. Dead spots and divot marks everywhere made this a disappointing experience. Overall, we unfortunately will be marking this as a course we will not be playing at again any time soon, but may reconsider if the overall course maintenance improves.

This could be a nice little course if it was better taken care of. This course is for the beginner at the most, very obvious by the extreme slow play out there and the lack of golf etiquette which does not exist at all. The yardage markers from the tee box are completely incorrect and once you are off the tee, there are no yardage markers to be found anywhere. Suntides is a much better choice for not much more dollar wise, it has a full 18 holes with normal holes. I consider River Ridge one step above the local putt putt course.

For the price you have to love it. Its a shorter course, but even the long hitters will get to use most of their clubs. Accuracy pays off. The greens are on the small side, and there are plenty of water hazards. Its not a Country Club, but then if youre cant bear CC prices this a good shorter track, plus it has a great restaurant and bar! I would disregard some of the negativity below, because there was a big effort last year to upgrade and improve conditions.

Please do not waste your money here. Course is in poor condition, there was about 40 piles of dog poo on the 5th green I had to putt around, and it was way to expensive. For what it cost to wall 9 on the worst course in Washington ($36) , four more bucks you can ride at Sun tides and have have a full 18 and a much better experience. This establishment will never earn another of my dollars for as long as I have a pulse.

Great! Dean and his staff are wonderful. Great, food, atmosphere, and top notch beer. The golf course is a shorter course but still plan on using all the clubs for you wanting to open up that driver. Very fun to golf here and hangout here. Food is some of best in Yakima!

This is a good spot, people below must be pretty much snobs, its the best we have here in Selah! Take a visit for some good beer on tap, oh it helps to know the waitresses too, which usually arent to bad looking.
