The Hip Pocket Theater is a charming outdoor theater. It runs original plays by the Simons family that founded and have continued to run the Hip Pocket for the past 40 years. The plays usually start when the sky is dark, but the gates open around 7:00 PM, so people can come and enjoy live music from various local musicians and barbecue from local businesses. It is open Friday - Sunday during the months of June through the end of October. Check out the Hip Pocket to see what their next play is! Admission for adults is $20; Seniors, Military, and Teachers are $15; Students and Children are $5. You can buy a Season Pass for $100 which gets you 10 admissions to use how you wish during the season.

I have said it for years, going to a play at Hip Pocket is unlike any theatre experience you have ever had. Head to the Backyard for a drink and some food, when the bell rings get to the theatre (take your beverage with you). Watch a show under the stars, maybe hear some coyotes yipping. When its over, go back to the backyard for some more entertainment by a live musician.

I went there yesterday on a solo date and as per usual, everything was great. From my server to my food to the movie (London Has Fallen) I had a great time. For dinner, I chose the boneless buffalo wings, they come with fries and ranch and ketchup. I had a Coke to drink and a small popcorn with butter. Mmmm.
