A short hike to a breathtaking view! Anyone can do this hike (even with a cane or crutches) but be careful because you will literally be standing on a cliff. You can stay away from the edge and still see the beauty of the falls and the pool below if you dont like heights. The water is clear and litter free so swimming is acceptable as long as you dont mind a small audience. There are two trails, the left side goes to the summit and the right side goes to the water below the falls. The trail to the bottom is NOT as easy and requires a bit of skill. I did see small children on this trail tho. Definitely worth going to see!

Beautiful view of the Earth and its natural beauty. Waterfall is magnificent. Mainly when theres been plenty of rain. Waterfall is always there anyway. Many types of plant life and flowers. Lots of large rocks make up the area the water falls from. Several trials and view points to see waterfall. Usually several people come daily. And theres a trail to climb down underneath the waterfall. Small waiste deep pool to swim in below. It is very dangerous on top of waterfalls edge. Small children probably shouldnt be allowed to walk around on ther own.

Easy access. 5 minutes off I-70. The parking area is right on US-70. The hike is steep, with large slippery rocks, so be sure to bring hiking boots or shoes. People with bad hips, knees or ankles should probably avoid it. We went in May when the water flow was high. The spray under the falls was like a hurricane (we are from Florida). I wish I would have brought a change of clothes. TIP: If you are short on time and do not want to see the top of the falls, follow the path to the right along the highway. It will bring you to the decent.

Its a trek down over rough terrain to the base of the falls and its absolutely worth it. Absolutely spectacular. Cant believe its free. People not fit for climbing may want to just walk to the top of the falls viewing area which is very nice in its own right. Its a workout for healthy people to get down. Back up is a bit harder and there are no emergency services nearby. There are no park staff or public facilities at this location either. Please make sure to take out what you bring in. Keep this treasure pristine please.

Beautiful place! Outstanding views. Easy walk from the road to the edge of the cliff where the waterfall drops. Fairly difficult hike to the bottom but so worth it. Lots of cliff overhangs and little caves to sit under along the way down. Amazing rock formations and trees at the bottom. You can shower under the falls and climb into the cave and lay back for a spell and take in the beauty.

Fantastic spot. You will not regret the stop, takes ten mi Utes to get to the bottom and there are some super places to take in the whole area of the falls and the hole. A place you could just sit and take in for the afternoon. Make time to check this out. Its not a true "park" and is not maintained so watch out for poison ivy (its everywhere in Tennessee by the way).

This place is almost out of this world. It feels like you are so far away from anything, its very peaceful. I asked my wife to marry me here so it is very special to us and we visit every year. It is quite a popular place, so early in the day and weekdays are the best time to go. You can also swim there, so bring your swimsuit!

One of the most spectacular waterfalls I have seen I have been to over 100 all over the country. As long as there is not a drought. I was just there for my wedding and it was just a trickle. It is a beautiful place regardless of if the falls is big or not.

Just off of I-40 at Crab Orchard exit. Great place to stop when you have some extra time and want to show a friend or relative an example of TNs natural beauty. Geologic interest. Cumberland Plateau waterfall

Not only is it likely the most conveniently located waterfalls in all of Tennessee it one of its most beautiful! If youve never stopped on your travels then stop now and take this short detour!

Good place to hike. The top of the waterfall is easy to access. The trail to the bottom of the falls is difficult for small children, and those who are not very limber.

Absolutely beautiful! These pictures do not do it justice. A steep hike down but worth it once down! Make sure you check it out from the top as well!

Just a short easy walk to the top of the falls. Theres a more substantial hike to get to the bottom. A great place to stretch your legs.

The walk to the top of the falls is short; however, it was rather rocky and we visited just after a rain storm and they were slippery.

It was pretty from the top. Would have been prettier from the bottom, but it had already been a long day and we werent up to the hike.

Would have been better if we could have actually seen the waterfall. The climb down to the bottom of the falls is pretty steep.
