Whats not to love?! I had to make a few mental adjustments after moving from NW, but this place makes the move completely worthwhile and makes me feel "home" in my new neighborhood. Beautiful facility (not yuppie, but with down-to-earth character and flair), friendly staff, (most of the time) easy parking, so many art classes to choose from, excellent teachers (okay, Ive only worked with a music teacher but he is great!)... Its an urban oasis for the soul and a sanctuary for the mind. Every neighborhood should have a place like this!

Great asset to the community. Beware of their cancellation policy -- they do not refund your money if you try to cancel less than 5 days before the class (which is not clear in their written cancellation policy). This is a bit of a hardship for young families who have sicknesses, business travel, etc. at the last minute.

This place was a cool place to go. I took my son to a free movie night showing of the muppets. There was music and snacks...needless to say my kid had a great time. The place is cool to explore and they had an art show going on during the movie. I would definitely check this place out again!

This is the little-known jewel in the Portland Parks and Rec system. Low cost classes for everything from dance to painting and drawing to ceramics to theatre to sculpture. Full wood shop. Two rooms full of looms. Its unbelievable! More Portlanders need to see what there is to offer here.

This is an old elementary school that is now host to community events and classes.you can find galleries and shows here throughout the year. There is also an outdoor recreation area, and of course, the village.

The teachers are awesome and the customer service is great. There is a wide variety of classes at affordable prices. We are so lucky to have a Community Arts Center like this in Southwest Portland!

Great place, with a ton of community events going on constantly. I take a fencing class there, but I see dancing, pottery, singing, and much more.

Went to here when an elementary school for special kindergarten. Then also came when it became a community center to keep out of trouble.
