Its a lovely location and an interesting group of buildings. It has terrible acoustics, however. A tin roof pavilion over a polished concrete floor by a river produces lots of hard echoes. If you want to hear music, this is not a great venue to do so. More importantly, they have limited parking, and despite that decided to host two sold out shows where most of the audience had to be bused offsite for parking. They communicated this poorly every step of the way, they didnt have enough buses, and had no plan on place to handle a full crowd trying to get home after the show. We had to wait an hour after the show just to get on a bus. It was chaotic and none of the staff had any information to provide. All this for some pricey ($55 - $75) tickets. That was lousy, greedy planning. I cant believe the Bardovan would have anything to do with that. I wont be going back there any time soon. There are plenty of better music venues in the valley.

Very poorly organized and executed event. A large Smorgasburg Venue was promised. There were four food vendors. Concert goers had to wait on lines for a minimum of one hour to get food or beverages. The beer, wine and beverage vendor had two cashiers and two people making drinks. The acoustics were sub par. The sound mixing was poorly done. Listeners could not understand anything Dylan was singing. At $125 a seat concert goers did not get the experience they paid for.

Hutton Brickyards will become a destination point in the Hudson Valley and for all the right reasons. I must disagree with the quality and reviews of the Bob Dylan concert. Although the musicians were fabulous, the show resembled a sad Vegas Lounge act. People go to hear Dylan sing Bob Dylan, not classics from the 30s and 40s.

As a professional event producer I can say that the Hutton Brickyards is one of a kind. There is nothing like this that Ive found anywhere else in the world. Its a true pleasure to work here.
